That this Resolution shall immediately, upon its adoption, be submitted to the Common Council of the City of South Bend, pursuant to Chapter 14.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend. Byers, Clerk Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Resolution was adopted and referred',to the Common Council for concurrence. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS (BIRDSELL STREET CURB AND SIDEWALK PROJECT - CD79- 303 -C). Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, requested permission to advertise to receive bids for curb and sidewalk improvements on Birdsell Street between Linden and Fassnacht. Mr. McMahon noted that the project would be funded with Community Development funds. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the requesti,to advertise was approved and the date of October 13, 1980, established to receive bids. SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET (BIRDSELL ST. CURB AND '',SIDEWALK PROJECT) Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the title sheet was approved and signed for the above project. I APPROVE TENT SALE (J. E. WALZ) A request from Mr. John Walz of Walz Furniture Store, 3423 South Michigan Street, for a tent sale the month oflOctober was submitted for approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the tent sale was approved, subject to concurrence by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Fire Inspection Bureau. APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following traffic control devices were approved: REMOVE 1 HOUR PARKING AND REVISE TO 15 MINUTE PARKING, 6 -6 MON. THRU FRI. - 225 North Lafayette REMOVE YIELD SIGN AND REVISE TO STOP SIGN On Ridgedale at Twyckenham APPROVAL OF CONTRACTORS' BONDS Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak recommended approval of the Contractor Bond of D. L. Wilton & Son, retroactive to August 23, 1980; Contractor Bond of Gus Lampos, retroactive to August 22,1'1980; and the Contractor Bond of Steve's Concrete, retroactive to August 25, 1980.
