REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bonds were approved retroactively. APPROVAL OF HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved and referred to the City Controller's Office for issuance: 1. Mrs. Frank J. Fahey (for 12 -year old daughter Therese Ann) 3207 E: Corby South Bend, Indiana 46615 2. Dorothy Millbern 734 Park Avenue South Bend, Indiana APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted Claim Docket No. 17976 through 18528 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed and the claims approved. APPROVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS A request from the Environmental /Action Center was received for permission to have city environmental crews clean the following lots within the city: ADDRESS Falcon St. & Linden St. 818 S. Illinois 1030 W. Western 417 Pulaski 1601 Prairie 819 Napier 2428 Linden 250 N. Wellington 261 N. Illinois S.E. corner Linden & Huey 801 Portage 522 N. Cleveland 500 blk. Lafayette 126 E. Dubail CONDITION Junk, garbage & trash N. side of Linden Weeds Trash in rear of yard Litter, weeds, garbage, Trash Weeds Demolition remains - garage Litter, weeds Brush Brush back of garage, auto parts Furniture, garbage, trash Litter, weeds Litter, weeds, brush, lumber -rear Litter, weeds, junk, garbage, trash Litter, furniture, mattress & bed It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and had failed to comply. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. STATUS OF PRENCO OIL FACILITY Mr. McMahon noted that the city's lease with Prenco for operation of the soluable oil disposal facility on Riverside Drive expires on September 30, 1980. He asked that the Board's attorney, Terry Crone, make an inspection of the site with Engineer David Wells and compile a list of those items that will need to be pursued with Prenco in order to insure compliance with all terms of the lease. Mr. McMahon stated that, as of an inspection conducted last week, it appeared that some liquid material in storage drums needed to be disposed of.
