REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m., on Monday, September 29, 1980, by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. Joseph E. Kernan present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. McMahon, and <br />carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of September 22, 1980, <br />were approved as submitted. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the following items were added to the agenda immediately <br />following approval of claims: (1) Lists of lots within the city <br />which require environmental clean -up, and (2) Status Report on <br />Prenco (soluable oil disposal facility). <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT (MORSE ELECTRIC - SIGNALIZATION OF INTERSECTIONS). <br />Mr. McMahon stated that the bid of Morse Electric for the signaliza- <br />tion of the following intersections had been awarded on August 19, <br />1980: <br />Angela and North Shore <br />Angela and Riverside <br />Michigan and Donmoyer <br />Summit and Western <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the contract with Morse Electric Company, Inc. for the above inter- <br />section projects was approved in the amount of $189,369.21, and the <br />Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond and Certificate <br />of Insurance were filed. . <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 20, 1980 (SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPER <br />RESOLUTLION NO. 20, 1980 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real <br />property owned by the City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant <br />to Chapter 14.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of South <br />Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory <br />of real property and it now finds that certain of the parcels <br />of real estate not set aside by state or city laws for public <br />purposes, pursuant to Chapter 14.5 of the Municipal Code of <br />the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the <br />necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in <br />the future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant <br />to Chapter 14.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That the parcels of real estate owned by <br />the city contained in the following list <br />are not necessary to the public use and <br />are not set aside by state or city law <br />for public purposes: <br />
