w <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 21, 1980 <br />REQUEST OF BROADWAY CHRISTIAN CHURCH FOR FOOT RACE <br />A recommendation received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />recommended denial of the foot race to be sponsored by the Broadway <br />Christian Parish on Saturday, November 1, 1980, starting at 8:00 a.m. <br />Mr. McMahon asked that Mr. Wadzinski furnish the Board with his <br />basis for recommending denial of the request. <br />APPROVE STOKELY - ARTHRITIS HIKE /BIKE <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended approval of the request for the Stokely- <br />Arthritis Hike /Bike to be conducted on September 7, 1980, in <br />accordance with the route submitted. Mr..Wadzinski advised <br />that the petitioning party contact the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting one week in advance of the proposed hike /bike to verify <br />that all streets involved are open and not closed by unforeseen <br />construction problems or emergencies. Mr. Wadzinski also recom- <br />mended that the petitioning party contact Captain Sweitzer as soon <br />as possible to make arrangements for proper manpower to cover the <br />hike /bike. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the hike /bike was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski requested approval of the installation of <br />"No Parking" on the west side of St. Louis Boulevard from Madison <br />Street north to the driveway of the newly constructed St. Joseph <br />Hospital parking lot driveway (an estimated distance of 60 feet <br />across St. Joseph Hospital property frontage). Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />traffic control device was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS <br />A request from the Environmental /Action Center was received for <br />permission to have city environmental crews clean the following <br />lots within the city: <br />ADDRESS CONDITION <br />2 lots east of 1024 DeMaude <br />Weeds, <br />entire lot <br />318 <br />N.
