Deardorff <br />11875 River Drive <br />Mishawaka, Indiana <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />JULY 21, 1980 <br />Doctor's certificate attached <br />Doctor's certificate attached <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the Certificates of Insurance for North American Signs, Inc., and <br />Walsh & Kelly were filed. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of.two outages between the period of <br />July 8 through July 11, 1980. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 13294 through No. 13797 and recommended approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />report was filed and the claims approved. <br />REQUEST CONCERNING CALVERT NEAR RANDOLPH AND SAMPSON (COUNCILWOMAN BECK) <br />Mrs. Beverlie J. Beck, Third District Councilwoman, requested that <br />the Board check into the need of a large calvert or cave under <br />the Conrail tracks near Randolph and Sampson. She stated that <br />the cave was blocked on one side so it was apparent it was not <br />being used as a retention basin. She stated that she had talked <br />the matter over with John Leszczynski and he had agreed that the <br />calvert was probably not being used for water retention. She <br />explained that a young boy had been molested in the area by a <br />man hiding in the calvert, and she asked that the Board check <br />into the need for the calvert. Mr. McMahon stated that he would <br />have his department check into the matter to determine whether <br />or not the calvert served any purpose before contacting Conrail. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the meeting was adjourned at 10:35 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara J.
