REGULAR MEETING <br />APPROVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS <br />JUNE 23. 1980 <br />A request from the Environmental /Action Center was received for <br />permission to have city environmental crews clean the following <br />lots within the city: <br />ADDRESS <br />223 Chestnut <br />300 block E. LaSalle <br />1303 S. Lafayette <br />1147 S. Michigan <br />1706 S. Williams <br />N/E corner Indiana & Prairie <br />1008 Oak <br />668 LaPorte, lot west <br />2422 W. Linden <br />608 Leland <br />410 E. Dubail <br />1709 S. Rush, lot south <br />733 Phillipa <br />S/W & N/W corner Bendix & Elwood <br />319 N. O'Brien <br />722 Cottage Grove <br />CONDITION <br />litter, furniture, trash <br />litter, weeds, junk, trash <br />junk, trash <br />litter, junk, trash <br />litter, trash <br />litter, weeds, trash <br />Brush, furniture, junk <br />litter, brush, junk <br />litter, brush, furniture <br />demolition remains <br />litter, trash <br />litter, limbs <br />weeds over 2 feet high <br />weeds over 2 feet high <br />weeds over 2 feet high <br />weeds over 2 feet high <br />e,s <br />It was noted that the property owners had been advised to clean up <br />the lots and had failed to comply. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the request was approved. <br />FILING OF MAINTENANCE BONDS (MAPLE LANE 4'S) <br />Mr. McMahon noted that a Maintenance Bond in the amount of $1,500.00 <br />each on behalf of Holladay Corporation for the construction of sewers <br />in Section 1, Section 2 and Section 3 of the Maple Lane 4's Apartments <br />was being submitted for-filing. The Maintenance Bond for each of <br />the above sections guaranteed the work, materials and condition of <br />the sewers for a period of three years to May 5, 1983. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />above bonds were filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak submitted his favorable recommendation to the <br />Board for the Contractor Bond of Concrete Foundations and the <br />Excavtion Bond of LaFree Excavating Company. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. I:ernan and carried, the bonds were <br />approved effective June 23, 1980. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR BOND <br />A request for the release of the Contractor Bond of Charles Jurtin <br />was received. It was noted that there were no outstanding claims <br />against any permits issued under the bond and Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak <br />recommended that the bond be released. Upon.a motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Contractor <br />Bond was released. <br />APPROVAL OF HANDICAPPED PARKING 'PERMIT <br />An application for a handicapped parking permit was received from <br />Mrs. Zoe Headley, 731 South Kenmore Street, South 'Bend. A doctor's <br />certificate was attached to the application. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr'. Hill and carried, the application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />
