4 , <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 10. 1980 <br />Indiana & Michigan will refund to such initial customer (being the <br />City of South Bend), in proportion to the respective contributions <br />toward the cost of such extension, an amount equal to 22 times the <br />estimated annual revenue from such new customer, less the cost of <br />service of such new customer, but the total of all refunds to such <br />customers shall in no event exceed the aforesaid contributions of <br />such customer. It will be the city's responsibility to notify <br />Indiana & Michigan of any new customers that are added to the <br />extension. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the agreement was approved and executed by the Board. <br />APPROVE OPEN AIR STAND LICENSE (DAWG HOUSE) <br />The applications of the Dawg House, 2015 Western, received favorable <br />recommendations from the Health Department and the Environmental <br />Protection Office. The Health Department advised that it was <br />inspected on May 30, 1980, and confirmed that all health regulations <br />have been complied with. The Environmental Office advised that <br />there were no trash or litter problems in the immediate vicinity as <br />a result of the stand. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the renewal application was approved. <br />APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND LICENSE (FIREWORKS STAND - STEVE CRANE <br />An application of Steve Crane for an open air stand license at 1346 <br />North Ironwood for the sale of fireworks was submitted to the Board. <br />Permission from the property owner was attached for the location of <br />the stand. The zoning for the area in question is commercial. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />application was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for <br />review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT STREET SERVICES <br />A request from Dora Lottie for permission to conduct street services <br />on the corner of Washington and Falcon the first two weeks in July <br />was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Traffic <br />Division of the Police Department for review and recommendation, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried. <br />APPROVE CLOSING RIVER BEND PLAZA TO PARKING (MICHIANA LUNG RUN) <br />A request from Mikki Dobski, River Bend Plaza Coordinator, was <br />received asking for permission to close River Bend Plaza to parking <br />from 8:00 a.m, to 11 :00 a.m., on Saturday, June 7, 1980, in conjunction <br />with the Michiana Lung Run. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the request to close the Plaza to parking <br />was approved retroactively. <br />APPROVE BLOCK PARTIES (700 BLOCK 27TH ST. AND 1200 BLOCK E. WAYNE S. <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Light- <br />ing, recommended approval of the request from residents of the 700 <br />block of 27th Street (from Hastings to Wall) for a block party on <br />June 13, 1980, from 5:00 p.m. to midnight. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation <br />was approved. <br />Mr. Wadzinski also submitted his favorable recommendation for <br />approval of the request of residents of the 1200 block of East Wayne <br />South for a block party on June 14, 1980, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the recommendation was approved. <br />I <br />1 <br />I <br />
