REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 2, 1980 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance <br />be authorized to scrap said vehicles and that they be removed <br />from the City Vehicle Inventory. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Richard L. Hill <br />s/ Joseph E. Kernan <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Barbara J. Byers, Clerk <br />Mr. Kernan stated that the Police Department vehicle was involved <br />in an accident and determined to be totaled. The insurance <br />company had settled the claim and the vehicle was to be turned <br />over to the insurance company for salvage. Mr. Hill explained <br />that the Legal Department automobile was acquired as a result of <br />an accident which the Self - Insurance Office had settled and a <br />bid of $289 had been received for salvage of the vehicle. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />resolution was adopted. <br />REQUESTS TO HOLD BLOCK PARTIES <br />The following requests to hold block parties were received by the <br />Board: <br />700 block of 27th Street from Hastings to Wall - June 13, <br />1980 from 5:00 p.m. to midnight <br />1226 East Wayne South to 1235 East Wayne South - June 14, <br />1980 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the requests were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Traffic Division of the Police Department for review and <br />recommendation. <br />REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY - OWNED PROPERTIES <br />The following requests to purchase city- owned properties were <br />received by the Board: <br />Youth Facilities, Inc. - 2222 Lincolnway West (Old Fire <br />Station No. 11) <br />Ivory Kurtz - 233 Elder Street <br />Marian Newbill - 1216 -1220 West Jefferson Blvd. <br />1320 West Jefferson <br />1412 West Jefferson <br />1204 West Jefferson <br />1220 West Jefferson <br />1205 West Jefferson <br />1307 West Washington <br />Kenneth Scott - 1001 West Washington <br />1307 West Washington <br />Mottie Green - 321 Brookfield Street <br />Mr. Kernan made a motion to refer these reqeusts to the various <br />city agencies for review and recommendation.
