REGULAR MEETING JUNE 2, 1980 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance be authorized to scrap said vehicles and that they be removed from the City Vehicle Inventory. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS s/ Richard L. Hill s/ Joseph E. Kernan ATTEST: s/ Barbara J. Byers, Clerk Mr. Kernan stated that the Police Department vehicle was involved in an accident and determined to be totaled. The insurance company had settled the claim and the vehicle was to be turned over to the insurance company for salvage. Mr. Hill explained that the Legal Department automobile was acquired as a result of an accident which the Self - Insurance Office had settled and a bid of $289 had been received for salvage of the vehicle. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the resolution was adopted. REQUESTS TO HOLD BLOCK PARTIES The following requests to hold block parties were received by the Board: 700 block of 27th Street from Hastings to Wall - June 13, 1980 from 5:00 p.m. to midnight 1226 East Wayne South to 1235 East Wayne South - June 14, 1980 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the requests were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Traffic Division of the Police Department for review and recommendation. REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY - OWNED PROPERTIES The following requests to purchase city- owned properties were received by the Board: Youth Facilities, Inc. - 2222 Lincolnway West (Old Fire Station No. 11) Ivory Kurtz - 233 Elder Street Marian Newbill - 1216 -1220 West Jefferson Blvd. 1320 West Jefferson 1412 West Jefferson 1204 West Jefferson 1220 West Jefferson 1205 West Jefferson 1307 West Washington Kenneth Scott - 1001 West Washington 1307 West Washington Mottie Green - 321 Brookfield Street Mr. Kernan made a motion to refer these reqeusts to the various city agencies for review and recommendation. Mr. Hill seconded the motion and it was carried. 1 1 1
