395 <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 19, 1979 <br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE OLD FIRE STATION ELEVEN DENIED <br />The Board received an inquiry from Gregory Compton regarding <br />the possible sale or rental of old Fire Station Eleven at <br />2222 Lincolnway West. The property is presently being leased <br />to the Civil Defense Police. It was the determination of the <br />Board that the property should not be sold at this time. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the Board denied the request to purchase old Fire Station Eleven <br />and directed that Mr. Compton be notified. <br />FILING OF ASSESSMENT ROLL, VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3469 <br />Patrick 11, McMahon, P. E., Civil City Engineer, files an Assessment <br />Roll for Vacation Resolution No. 3469 for the vacation of the <br />north -south alley between Lafayette Street'and Franklin Street, <br />running south from Broadway Street to the railroad right -of -way. <br />The Assessment Roll lists total net benefits of $0.00 and total <br />net damages of $0.00. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Assessment Roll was filed and set <br />for public hearing on March 19, 1979. <br />APPROVAL OF SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />The Board was advised that city -o�med lots for which requests to <br />purchase had been received prior to December 4, 1978, the date <br />of adoption of the resolution for sale of property under the one <br />dollar program, had been reviewed. Each lot was referred to the <br />Mayor's Office, Community Development Department, Park Department, <br />Engineering Department and the Councilman of the respective district <br />and was cleared for sale. Applicants were checked to determine that <br />they were the adjacent property owners. The lots are now ready <br />for sale. Upon approval by the Board, Quit -Claim Deeds will be <br />prepared.
