196 REGULAR MEETING JULY 17, 1978 Item 5. This bureau will verify traffic counts in the area of Pulaski and Huron Streets during the week of July 17, 1978. Its findings, if out of the ordinary to those indicated above, will be reported to the Board. Item 6. The existing signage on Pulaski will be replaced with new high intensity signage, thereby increasing its visibility especially during the hours of darkness. This new signage will be supplemented by painted stop bars. In the event the Board approves a multi -way stop at this intersection, all of the stop signs will be of the high intensity sheeting. Based on the above information, please inform this Bureau as to the action taken by the Board so that its orders may be carried out as soon as possible. s / Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager Mr. McMahon made a motion to deny the request for a stop sign. Mr. Brunner requested an opportunity to review the report of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Mr. McMahon then made a motion to table the report until next Monday and refer it to the Legal Department for review. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. CLOSING OF ALLEYS ADJACENT TO WILLIAM PENN CLUB APPROVED The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reported the request of the William Penn Club to close the alleys adjacent to their Clubrooms at 1024 W. Indiana Avenue on Saturday, July 29 from 12 :00 noon until 10:00 p.m. had been reviewed with the Police Department and approval is recommended. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved. TENT SERVICES APPROVED The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reported review of the request of the Grace Brethren Church at 1701 E. Ireland Road to conduct tent services on church property from July 30 to August 13. In concurrence with the Police Department, the Bureau foresees no problems with traffic and parking and approval was recommended. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was approved, subject to the securing of the necessary permit from the Building Department, an inspection of the tent by the Fire Inspection Bureau and the stipulation that any signs posted in the area be directed away from motorists. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period July 3 through July 12 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated thirty -seven outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. BOND APPROVED I Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, submitted to the Board a Contractor's Bond for Joseph Holobyn, Sr. and noted that the bond was properly executed and could be approved. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bond was approved.
