194 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 17, 1978 <br />REQUEST TO LOCATE CONSTRUCTION TRAILER ON CITY - OWNED LOT <br />The Board received a request from Masterbilt, Inc. and Roseland <br />Construction Company to locate a construction trailer on a <br />city -owned lot at 319 S. Walnut Street for a period of ninety <br />days during construction of an addition to the machine shop <br />at 325 S. Walnut Street. A certificate of insurance was submitted <br />with the request. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the request, subject to <br />restoring of the property to its original condition upon removal <br />of the trailer. <br />Masterbilt also expressed an interest in purchasing the city -owned <br />lot. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the request was referred to the Mayor's Office, the <br />Department of Engineering, Parks, Redevelopment and Community <br />Development for review and a determination as to whether the lot <br />should be retained for any purpose. <br />REQUEST FOR BLOCK PARTY ON SOUTH STREET <br />Mrs. Patrick Farrell, 1344 E. South Street, requested permission <br />to have a Block Party in the 1300 Block of South Street, from <br />1336 E. South to the intersection at Longfellow on Saturday, <br />August 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO BLOCK STREET FOR PARISH FESTIVAL <br />The Board received a request from Rev. F. Thomas Lallak, Pastor <br />of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, to block a portion <br />of Assumption Drive on Sunday, August 13 from noon until 10:00 p.m. <br />for a parish festival. Upon motion made by.Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was referred to <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department for <br />review and recommendation. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUESTS APPROVED <br />Mikki Dobski, Director of River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board <br />requests for Sidewalk Days participation by J. C. Penney Company <br />and the Dainty Maid Bake Shop. Certificates of insurance were <br />submitted and Health Department permits have been applied for. <br />City vending licenses will be purchased: Sidewalk Days will be <br />held on the Plaza on July 28 and 29. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved <br />the applications. <br />BLOCK PARTIES APPROVED - TERI STREET AND PARKVIEW PLACE <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported to the Board that he had reviewed requests for Block <br />Parties on Teri Street on July 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. <br />and on Parkview Place on,September 2 from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. <br />Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval of the Block Parties, with the <br />concurrence of the Police Department. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the block parties <br />were approved. <br />BLOCK PARTY APPROVED - 900 E. VICTORIA <br />Ralph J.
