194 REGULAR MEETING JULY 17, 1978 REQUEST TO LOCATE CONSTRUCTION TRAILER ON CITY - OWNED LOT The Board received a request from Masterbilt, Inc. and Roseland Construction Company to locate a construction trailer on a city -owned lot at 319 S. Walnut Street for a period of ninety days during construction of an addition to the machine shop at 325 S. Walnut Street. A certificate of insurance was submitted with the request. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the request, subject to restoring of the property to its original condition upon removal of the trailer. Masterbilt also expressed an interest in purchasing the city -owned lot. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was referred to the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, Parks, Redevelopment and Community Development for review and a determination as to whether the lot should be retained for any purpose. REQUEST FOR BLOCK PARTY ON SOUTH STREET Mrs. Patrick Farrell, 1344 E. South Street, requested permission to have a Block Party in the 1300 Block of South Street, from 1336 E. South to the intersection at Longfellow on Saturday, August 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department for review and recommendation. REQUEST TO BLOCK STREET FOR PARISH FESTIVAL The Board received a request from Rev. F. Thomas Lallak, Pastor of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, to block a portion of Assumption Drive on Sunday, August 13 from noon until 10:00 p.m. for a parish festival. Upon motion made by.Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department for review and recommendation. RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUESTS APPROVED Mikki Dobski, Director of River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board requests for Sidewalk Days participation by J. C. Penney Company and the Dainty Maid Bake Shop. Certificates of insurance were submitted and Health Department permits have been applied for. City vending licenses will be purchased: Sidewalk Days will be held on the Plaza on July 28 and 29. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the applications. BLOCK PARTIES APPROVED - TERI STREET AND PARKVIEW PLACE Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported to the Board that he had reviewed requests for Block Parties on Teri Street on July 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Parkview Place on,September 2 from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval of the Block Parties, with the concurrence of the Police Department. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the block parties were approved. BLOCK PARTY APPROVED - 900 E. VICTORIA Ralph J.
