Colip_, <br />South Bend, Indiana non- collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - $21,404.00 <br />Koontz - Wagner Electric <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid - $22,307.20 <br />Upon motion made by Mr <br />carried, the bids were <br />Discovery Hall Museum, <br />Co. Bid was signed by R. L. Pfeil, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />referred to Richard Welch, Director of <br />for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SPECTRUM ANALYZER, BUREAU OF COM1MUNICATIONS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for a Spectrum Analyzer <br />for the Bureau of Communications. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. There were no bads <br />received. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the Board directed that the Clerk contact Glenn Zubler, <br />Director of Communications, and authorized re- advertising for bids. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON REVENUE SHARING APPROPRIATION <br />This was the date set for holding a public hearing on a revenue <br />sharing appropriation request as follows: <br />Street Department Vehicles = $136,500.00 <br />The Clerk tendered proof of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune which was found to be sufficient. In accordance with the <br />guidelines established for such revenue sharing fund requests, <br />information about this public hearing was forwarded to the following <br />senior citizen groups with the request that the notice be posted <br />for the members: Foster Grandparents, Hansel Neighborhood Service <br />Center, Harvest House Centers, Howard Park Senior Citizens' Center, <br />R.E.A.L. Services, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Senior <br />Citizens' Group of LaSalle Park. There were no citizens present who <br />wished to speak on the fund request and no written comments were <br />filed with the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the information was filed and will be <br />transmitted to the Common Council along with the minutes of this <br />public hearing. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND TO SCHEDULE REVENUE SHARING PUB- <br />LIC HEARING FOR POLICE RADIO EQUIPMENT APPROVED <br />The Board received a request from Chief Michael Borkowski to advertise <br />for bids for police radio equipment to be funded through general <br />revenue sharing. Detailed specifications were attached and Chief <br />Borkowski recommended that the Board include in the specifications <br />the right to hold the bids for one hundred and twenty days before <br />making an award. Mr. Mullen also requested that the Board authorize <br />the scheduling of a public hearing on the revenue sharing request <br />when the bid amount has been determined. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board authorized <br />advertising-for bids for the radio equipment, with sealed bids to be <br />received on May 15, 197.8 and authorized the scheduling of a public <br />hearing on a revenue sharing appropriation request when the total <br />amount of the purchase has been determined. <br />
