ME <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />5. An approved copy of the Indiana State Highway <br />permit will be on file with the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting prior to the issuance of <br />the local permit by the Building Department. <br />6. The total loaded width, length, height and <br />gross weight of the structure will be submitted <br />to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. <br />7. The total time and distance of the move from <br />origin to destination will be submitted to <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. If the <br />total time of the move exceeds daylight hours <br />(determined to be z hour after sunrise to 2 <br />hour before sunset), indicate where the house <br />will be parked off- street overnight. <br />8. Since this move will cross both Conrail and <br />Amtrak lines, the Contractor will provide <br />assurances of notification and agreement <br />as to time of crossing and train schedules. <br />9. Contractor is to provide and /or post all <br />streets with necessary no parking signs no <br />more than 24 hours prior to the move and <br />remove same within 24 hours after the move. <br />APRIL 21. 1980 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the house move was approved subject to the above stipulations. <br />REQUEST TO HOLD STREET SERVICES - COLLEGE AND LINDEN <br />A request was received from Dora Lottie for permission to conduct <br />street services at the corner of College and Linden the second and <br />third week in May from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVED SALE OF POPPIES - AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY <br />The American Legion Auxiliary, Bendix Post No. 284, submitted to <br />the Board a request for permission to sell veteran -made poppies <br />on the public sidewalks on May 16 and 17, 1980. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the <br />request was approved. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT HIKE /BIKE -- ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION <br />The Arthritis Foundation, Inc., Indiana Chapter, requested permission <br />to conduct the First Annual Stokely - Arthritis Hike /Bike "For People <br />in Pain" in South Bend on September 7, 1980. It was noted the <br />hike /bike would cover a distance of 15 miles throughout the area <br />and the route was in the process of being finalized. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the date <br />for the hike /bike was recorded on the calendar for September 7, <br />1980, and the matter was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Department for review and recommendation. <br />The route, when submitted, will be furnished to Traffic and <br />Lighting and Police Department for their perusal. <br />APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND JASON C. CHOI <br />An application for open air stand license by Jason C. Choi was <br />received by the Board. Mr. Choi was requesting permission to <br />locate his trailer and sell Chinese -style food on River Bend Plaza. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the application was referred to the Engineering Department and <br />Legal Department for review and recommendation. <br />
