REGULAR MEETING APRIL 14, 1980 <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR FIRST BANK CENTER PROJECT - <br />O'NEAL TRUCKING COMPANY. INC. <br />Mr. McMahon noted that the contract for the previously awarded <br />project for the garage portion of the First Bank Center had <br />been prepared by Sollitt Construction Company. The bid for <br />demolition and backfill had been awarded on March 10, 1980, to <br />O'Neal Trucking in the amount of $39,262.00. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the <br />contract was approved, subject to the filing of the necessary <br />Labor and Materials Bond, Performance and Payment Bond and <br />Certificate of Insruance. <br />APPROVE RECOMMENDATION TO DENY TAXI CAB LICENSE <br />Upon a recommendation received by City Controller Joseph E. <br />Kernan, Mr. McMahon made a motion to deny the license applica- <br />tion of Lloyd McCullough, Jr., seconded by Mr. Hill and carried. <br />Mr. Kernan stated that Mr. McCullough's application was incomplete <br />as compared to the police arrest report. The Clerk was instructed <br />to advise Mr. McCullough of his right to request a hearing before <br />the Board to discuss the matter. <br />FILE STATUS REPORT - IUSB RESIDENTIAL PARKING STUDY <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, estimated that the information provided by and from the <br />approximate 3,000 license plates checked during the 16 -hour field <br />study would be reduced and correlated to summarize available <br />information during the week of April 14th. The report was filed <br />upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried. <br />APPROVE HOUSE MOVE - MITSCHELEN (NORTH MAIN TO MOSS ROAD <br />A recommendation was received from Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager <br />of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, concerning the house move <br />request of Allen Mitschelen. In accordance with a recommendation <br />made by the Board on April 7, 1980, a meeting had been held between <br />Mr. Mitschelen and Mr. Wadzinski to discuss the best route for the <br />move, and Mr. Wadzinski made the following recommendations: <br />Route: From 802 South Main Street, south on Main Street, <br />west on Marion, south on Williams, west on <br />Washington, west and north on Bendix, west on <br />Westmore, north on Sheridan, west on Elwood, <br />south on Moss Road (county) to the Moss Road <br />lot. Woodbine Way will not be used. <br />The contractor will submit to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, prior to the date of the move, locations where <br />the house can be pulled off the road overnight if necessary. <br />A pre - qualified signal contractor will submit a letter of <br />confirmation. <br />The contractor is responsible for posting all streets with <br />no parking signs. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the house move was approved subject to the above recommendations. <br />DENY REQUEST FOR PARADE - RIGHT TO LIFE (NOTRE DAME & ST. MARY'S) <br />A recommendation from Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting, was received concerning denial of the <br />parade request of the Notre Dame -Saint Mary's Right to Life Organiza- <br />tions. Mr. Wadzinski, in consensus with the Traffic Division of the <br />Police Department, recommended denial of the request based upon <br />I I <br />
