BE <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 7. 1980 <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the modification was approved. <br />Modification No. 1 to the contract with Legal Services for the <br />period from October 1, 1979, through March 14, 1980, was received <br />which provided for an amount of $998 to cover wage and fringe <br />benefit costs for two project participants. It was noted that all <br />other parts of the initial agreement remained unchanged. The <br />modification was tabled to the April 14th meeting of the Board <br />in view of Mr. McMahon's absence and the fact that Mr. Hill would <br />abstain from voting as he had been the director of Legal Services <br />for part of the time period of the contract. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />for approval Claim Docket No. 6086 through No. 6470 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the claims were approved and the report filed. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - STREET DEPARTMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the following Street <br />Department equipment: <br />Ten crankshaft hydraulic systems, mounted <br />Four 8' x 6.6" dump boxes with hoist, mounted <br />Six 10' x 7' dump boxes with hoist, mounted <br />Ten remountings of front hitches <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South <br />Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be <br />sufficient. The folloiing bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Deeds Equipment Co., Inc. Individual bids were signed by <br />P. 0. Box 26114 John K. Brennan, non - collusion <br />Lawrence, Indiana affidavits were in order, and a <br />10% bid bond was submitted with <br />each bid. <br />10 <br />Mount Hustin Quick Hitches at $200 each <br />Total: <br />$2,000.00 <br />4 <br />Dump Bodies 8' x 6.6" <br />Perfection Price at $1,999.00 each <br />Total: <br />$7,996.00 <br />Harsh Price at $2,057.00 each <br />Total: <br />$8,228.00 <br />10 <br />Hydraulic Pumps at $1,445.00 each <br />Total: <br />$14,450.00 <br />6 <br />Dump Bodies 10' x 7' <br />Perfection Price at $3,359.00 each <br />Total: <br />$20,154.00 <br />Harsh Price at $3,370.00 each <br />Total: <br />$20,274.00 <br />Dwyer Equipment Company Bid was signed by Karl D. <br />P. 0.
