BE REGULAR MEETING APRIL 7. 1980 by Mr. Hill and carried, the modification was approved. Modification No. 1 to the contract with Legal Services for the period from October 1, 1979, through March 14, 1980, was received which provided for an amount of $998 to cover wage and fringe benefit costs for two project participants. It was noted that all other parts of the initial agreement remained unchanged. The modification was tabled to the April 14th meeting of the Board in view of Mr. McMahon's absence and the fact that Mr. Hill would abstain from voting as he had been the director of Legal Services for part of the time period of the contract. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board for approval Claim Docket No. 6086 through No. 6470 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the claims were approved and the report filed. OPENING OF BIDS - STREET DEPARTMENT This was the date set for receiving bids for the following Street Department equipment: Ten crankshaft hydraulic systems, mounted Four 8' x 6.6" dump boxes with hoist, mounted Six 10' x 7' dump boxes with hoist, mounted Ten remountings of front hitches The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The folloiing bids were opened and publicly read: Deeds Equipment Co., Inc. Individual bids were signed by P. 0. Box 26114 John K.
