REGULAR MEETING Walkerton Truck Equippers R. R. 2, Box 10 State Road 23 North Walkerton, Indiana 9:) APRIL 7, 1980 Bid was signed by Floyd W. Badgley, non - collusion affidavit was in order, and a 10% bid bond was submitted. 4 Perfection Dump Bodies at $1,558.00 each Total: $ 6,232.00 6 Perfection Dump Bodies at $2,950.00 each Total: $17,700.00 10 Mount Hitches at $225.00 each Total: $ 2,250.00 10 Central Hydraulic Systems at $1,540.00 each Total: $15,400.00 Fruehauf Division Bid was signed by Lynn J. Crandall, Fruehauf Corporation non - collusion affidavit was in order, 137 South Olive and a certified check in the amount South Bend, Indiana of $4,992.00 was submitted. 6 Steel Dump Bodies 10' x 7' at $4,793.00 each Total: $28,758.00 4 Steel Dump Bodies 8' x 6'6" at $3,443.00 each Total: $13,772.00 10 12" Ship & Car Channel Front Bumper in lieu of 12" x 20.7# Channel at $40.00 each Total: $ 400.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the bids were referred to the Street Department and City Engineer for review and recommendation. PUBLIC HEARING - REVENUE SHARING EXPENDITURES FOR 1980 This was the date set for holding a public hearing on the proposed use of Revenue Sharing Funds in the amount of $60,100.00 during the calendar year 1980. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. Mr. Kernan noted that this was the public hearing on the proposed use of funds as follows: Summer Weed Program $20,000.00 Environmental Clean -Up Program 40,100.00 In accordance with the guidelines adopted for such use of revenue sharing funds, information about this public hearing was forwarded to the following senior citizen groups with the request that the notice be posted: Foster Grandparents, Hansel Neighborhood Center, REAL Services, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Senior Citizens Group of LaSalle Park. There was no one present to speak against the proposed expenditures. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the public hearing was closed and the Clerk was instructed to forward the minutes of this public hearing to the Controller's Office and the City Clerk.
