Crandall, <br />Fruehauf Corporation <br />non - collusion affidavit <br />was <br />in order, <br />137 <br />South Olive <br />and a certified check in the <br />amount <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />of $4,992.00 was <br />submitted. <br />6 <br />Steel Dump Bodies 10' x 7' <br />at $4,793.00 each <br />Total: <br />$28,758.00 <br />4 <br />Steel Dump Bodies 8' x 6'6" <br />at $3,443.00 each Total: <br />$13,772.00 <br />10 <br />12" Ship & Car Channel Front <br />Bumper in <br />lieu of 12" x 20.7# Channel <br />at $40.00 each <br />Total: <br />$ 400.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the bids were referred to the Street Department and City Engineer <br />for review and recommendation. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - REVENUE SHARING EXPENDITURES FOR 1980 <br />This was the date set for holding a public hearing on the proposed <br />use of Revenue Sharing Funds in the amount of $60,100.00 during the <br />calendar year 1980. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were <br />found to be sufficient. Mr. Kernan noted that this was the public <br />hearing on the proposed use of funds as follows: <br />Summer Weed Program $20,000.00 <br />Environmental Clean -Up Program 40,100.00 <br />In accordance with the guidelines adopted for such use of revenue <br />sharing funds, information about this public hearing was forwarded <br />to the following senior citizen groups with the request that the <br />notice be posted: Foster Grandparents, Hansel Neighborhood Center, <br />REAL Services, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Senior Citizens <br />Group of LaSalle Park. There was no one present to speak against <br />the proposed expenditures. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the public hearing was closed <br />and the Clerk was instructed to forward the minutes of this public <br />hearing to the Controller's Office and the City Clerk. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m. <br />Richard L.
