The contractor shall supply to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting the gross loaded weight of the object <br />being moved, as well as per axle and per tire <br />weight. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. dill and carried, <br />the matter was tabled to provide Mr. Mitschelen with an opportunity <br />to meet the additional requirements as stated in the above recom- <br />mendations. <br />STREET LIGHT REQUEST - BRIDGETON LANE AND SOMERSWORTII DRIVE <br />A request was received from Americana Realty for installation of <br />street lights in Section I of Kensington Farms Subdivision, more <br />specifically Bridgeton Lane and Somersworth Drive. The letter <br />indicated that a number of cases of vandalism and theft had been <br />experienced in the area and the developer was concerned about <br />continuing with its plans for the area without the proper lighting. <br />Mr. Kernan stated that the Board, at its previous meeting, had <br />adopted a street lighting policy which called for a moratorium <br />on all future street light requests unless the lighting was <br />determined to be needed to deter crime or vandalism in residential <br />areas. Upon a motion made by Mr. i,,ernan, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department for review and recommendation.. <br />REQUEST FOR PARADE - RIGHT TO LIFE <br />The Board received a request from the Notre Dame -St. M.ary''s Right <br />to Life Organization for a parade on Saturday, April 19, 1950, at <br />1:30 p.m., commencing at the Administration Building at the <br />University of Notre Dame and proceeding south on Notre;D"am,e Avenue <br />to the Church of the Nazarene at Colfax and Notre Dame Avenue, <br />then north on Notre Dame, west on Cedar, south on St. Louis, east <br />on LaSalle and south on Notre Dame back to the Church of the <br />Nazarene. It was noted that the request did not comply with the <br />six -month requirement for parades and was, in fact, only 12 days <br />away. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr'. Hill and <br />carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Department. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - SALE OF 1212 S. FRANKLIN <br />The city -owned lot at 1212 South Franklin had previously been cleared <br />for sale, appraised and an offering price established. More than <br />one individual had expressed an interest in purchasing the lot. <br />Pursuant to the Municipal Code, the property was required to be <br />offered for sale by legal advertising and the sale awarded to the <br />highest bid received equal to the offering price. Upon a notion <br />made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, approval <br />was granted for advertising with bids to be received by the Board <br />on May 5, 1930. <br />APPROVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS <br />A request from the Environmental /Action Center was, received for <br />permission to have city environmental crews clean the following <br />lots within the city: <br />117 <br />E. <br />Dayton - <br />litter, furniture, junk <br />123 <br />E. <br />Ewing - <br />furniture, junk, garbage <br />1912 <br />W. <br />Ford - <br />trash, furniture, junk, garbage, <br />no receptacle <br />125 <br />E. <br />Fox - <br />litter, furniture, junk <br />127 <br />E. <br />Fox - <br />garbage <br />126 <br />W. <br />Garst - <br />garbage <br />130 <br />E. <br />Indiana - <br />litter, garbage, receptacle (no) <br />230 <br />E. <br />Indiana - <br />litter, garbage <br />1 <br />
