3'7 E" <br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 17, 1980 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the restricted residential parking zone was approved for the 600 <br />block of North Lafayette, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting to study the effect caused by <br />the zone for the 500 block of North Lafayette and the 300 -400 <br />blocks of blest Navarre. It was decided that the Board would <br />await resubmission of new petitions for the 500 block of <br />North Lafayette and the 300 -400 blocks of West Navarre since <br />the required 66% of signatures had not been met. <br />APPROVAL OF CETA SUBGRANT MODIFICATION NO. 3 - HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />The Board received Modification No. 3 to the CETA Subgrant <br />Agreement with the Housing Authority, which provided a `$50 <br />increase in the administrative budget for preparation of a <br />final project report; the addition of a program narrative for <br />the Maintenance Trainee Project; and a change in the funding <br />title for Maintenance Trainees. It was indicated that all <br />other parts of the Initial Agreement and previous modifications <br />remained unchanged. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Kernan and carried, the modification was approved. <br />FILING OF 1979 ANNUAL REPORT - YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the 1979 Annual Report of the Youth Service Bureau <br />was filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - ABRAHAMS BROTHERS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Abrahams Brothers <br />was filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated 28 outages for the period of March 6, 1980, <br />through March 12, 1980. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the report was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 4538 through 5134 and recommended approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the claims were approved and the report filed. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the Board recessed the meeting until 9:30 a.m., the <br />time legally advertised for receiving bids on the metal fabrica- <br />tions for the First Bank Center Project, garage portion; ambulance <br />and related equipment for Fire Department; and lease of a copying; <br />machine for the CETA Office. The Board recessed at 9:04 a.m. <br />The Board of Public Works reconvened at 9:30 a.m., for the <br />purpose of receiving and opening the following bids: <br />OPENING OF BIDS - GARAGE PORTION, FIRST BANK CENTER <br />(METAL FABRICATIONS) <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for metal fabrications <br />for the garage portion of First Bank Center. Originally the <br />bids had come in above the budget for the project and the bids <br />had been rejected. At the second advertising, no bids had been <br />received by the Board on March 3, 1980, and the Board had decided <br />to re- advertise with bids to be received and opened on March 17, <br />1980.
