226 <br />REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 15, 1979 <br />HOLIDAY FESTIVAL PARADE APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski reported to the Board that the request of <br />Michelle Dobski to hold the Annual Holiday Festival Parade had <br />been reviewed. The date of the parade is Saturday, November 17 <br />at 9:00 a.m. The suggested route is Jefferson Street, from <br />Williams to Service Court #5. The Police Department concurs <br />that approval can be given. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the parade <br />and authorized the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting to post the <br />necessary No Parking Signs and coordinate arrangements. <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED <br />The Board received a request from Herbert L.Fritz, 4610 W. MacGregor <br />for a Handicapped Parking Permit. A doctor's statement was <br />attached to the application. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the application was approved <br />and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of the <br />permit. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 20030 to 20384 and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 20030 to 20384 and directed <br />that checks for payment be issued. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period October 3 to October <br />11 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated ten outages. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Brunner and <br />carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />BOND APPROVED - MICHiANA MECHANICAL <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, submitted to the Board <br />the Excavation Bond for Michiana Mechanical and noted he had <br />reviewed the bond and it is properly executed and can be approved. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the bond was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF CETA SUBGRANT AND SUBAGREEMENTS <br />Elroy Kelzenberg, Director of the Bureau of Manpower and Training, <br />submitted to the Board the following agreements: <br />Subgrant Agreement between the Bureau of Employment and Training <br />and Ivy Tech NorthCentral for the period October 1 1979 through <br />September 30, 1980 to provide individual referral training. The <br />amount of the subgrant is $233,723. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the subgrant was <br />approved. <br />Public Service Employment Agreements as follows <br />(1) Real Services, Inc. in the amount of $6,975.00 for the <br />period 10/1/79 to 5/13/80 <br />
