152 REGULAR MEETING JULY 30, 1979 TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended that the following traffic control devices be approved: New installation of a stop sign on Navarre at Portage New installation of a stop sign on Blyler at Culver Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the installations were approved. HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED - GEORGIA V. ZEHENDNER The Board received a request from Georgia V. Zehendner, 607 Coronation Gardens, for a handicapped parking permit for her vehicle. A doctor's statement was attached to the application. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the permit was approved and referred to the Deputy City Controller for issuance. CONTRACTOR'S BOND RELEASED - ARMAND'S SERVICE Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported that he had reviewed the request to release the Contractor's Bond of Armand Murat, d /b /a Armand's Service. There are no outstanding permits for this contractor and Mr. Andrysiak recommended that the bond be released. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bond was released effective this date. CLAIMS APPROVED Chief Deputy City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 14718 through 15164 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 14718 through 15164 and directed that checks for payment be issued. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT The Street Light Outage Report for the period July 23 through July 29 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated five outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed, HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED - CHARLES DAVID EDWARDS The Board received a request from Charles David Edwards, 522 Preston Drive, for a handicapped parking permit for his vehicle. A doctor's statement was attached to the application. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the permit was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller for issuance. CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED A Certificate of Insurance from Murdock & Sons Construction, Inc. was submitted to the Board. The Certificate is in the proper limits of liability and the City of South Bend is named an additional insured. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the certificate was filed. I I
