152 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 30, 1979 <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended that the following traffic control devices be <br />approved: <br />New installation of a stop sign on Navarre at Portage <br />New installation of a stop sign on Blyler at Culver <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the installations were approved. <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED - GEORGIA V. ZEHENDNER <br />The Board received a request from Georgia V. Zehendner, 607 <br />Coronation Gardens, for a handicapped parking permit for her <br />vehicle. A doctor's statement was attached to the application. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the permit was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />City Controller for issuance. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND RELEASED - ARMAND'S SERVICE <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported that he had <br />reviewed the request to release the Contractor's Bond of Armand <br />Murat, d /b /a Armand's Service. There are no outstanding permits <br />for this contractor and Mr. Andrysiak recommended that the bond <br />be released. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Mullen and carried, the bond was released effective this date. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Chief Deputy City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the <br />Board Claim Docket Numbers 14718 through 15164 and recommended <br />approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers <br />14718 through 15164 and directed that checks for payment be <br />issued. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period July 23 through <br />July 29 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated five <br />outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the report was ordered filed, <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED - CHARLES DAVID EDWARDS <br />The Board received a request from Charles David Edwards, 522 <br />Preston Drive, for a handicapped parking permit for his vehicle. <br />A doctor's statement was attached to the application. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />permit was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller for <br />issuance. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED <br />A Certificate of Insurance from Murdock & Sons Construction, <br />Inc. was submitted to the Board. The Certificate is in the <br />proper limits of liability and the City of South Bend is named <br />an additional insured. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the certificate was filed. <br />I I <br />
