REGULAR MEETING <br />BOND APPROVED - PRAIRIE HARDWARE & PLUMBING, INC. <br />JULY 30, 1979 <br />An Excavation Bond for Prairie Hardware & Plumbing, Inc. was <br />submitted to the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bond was approved. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Mr. Floyd Carter spoke to the Board in regard to the bids <br />received for the Orange /Colfax Connector. Mr. McMahon explained <br />to Mr. Carter that the new bid came in about $223,000. more and <br />now brings the project to about $2.1 million. The city might <br />petition the state to award the bid anyway and request that <br />the. Governor get involved in order to get the bid awarded. <br />The.state might readvertise again for an August letting. Their <br />estimate came in too high and the City will ask the state to <br />take more time in preparing the new estimate so the bids will <br />not come in too high. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 10:20 a.m. <br />In the absence of Patricia DeClercq, Clerk of the Board of Public <br />Works, I, Maryrose Putz, am assuming all responsibility for the <br />Board of Public Works meeting of Jam,, 197 <br />v — - <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />153 <br />
