REGULAR MEETING <br />REASSIGNMENT OF CITY VEHICLES AND TWO VEHICLES SCRAPPED <br />149 <br />JULY 30, 1979 <br />Police Chief Michael C. Borkowski advised the Board that the <br />Environmental Protection Office and the Police Department have <br />agreed to a transfer of certain vehicles within the departments. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the ,Board approved the request to switch the assignment <br />of vehicles listed below on or about August. 1, 1979: <br />ENVIRONMENTAL TRANSFERS TO POLICE <br />1. C.V. 601 to Police C.V. 747 - a 1975 brown Plymouth <br />4 -door, bearing serial #RK41K5A203539 <br />2. C.V. 609 to Police C.V. 748 - a 1975 brown Plymouth <br />4 -door, bearing serial JkRK41K5A203533 <br />POLICE TRANSFER TO ENVIRONMENTAL <br />3. C.V. 695 to Environmental C.V. 603 - 1 1976 light blue <br />4 -door Ford Torino, bearing serial #GH27H191568 <br />The Police Department further requested that the first two <br />vehicles listed be declared obsolete. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board authorized <br />disposition of the vehicles. <br />TAXI LICENSE DENIED — BENJAMIN C. BOWMAN <br />Peter H. Mullen, City Controller, submitted to the Board the taxi <br />license application of Benjamin C. Bowman and the .recommendation <br />of the Police Department that the license be denied. The <br />applicant misrepresented the fact that he had been arrested for <br />Criminal Trespass and that his license is suspended for Failure <br />to Appear in court on a speeding charge. Mr. Mullen concurred <br />in the recommendation. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was filed and the <br />Clerk was directed to notify the applicant of his right to a <br />hearing before the Board. <br />APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 - CONTRACT 102, FIRST BANK CENTER <br />Patrick M. McMahon, Director of Public Works, submitted to the <br />Board Change Order No. 1 in the contract with Henry- Williams, <br />Inc. for Contract 102, First Bank Center. The change order <br />increases the contract by $49,876.00 and will add foundation <br />wall to the concrete work to facilitate the construction.of <br />the Public Portion of the Garage along Colfax Street to reduce <br />the required amount of time for,sheet piling. The work is to <br />begin within the next two weeks. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the change order <br />was approved. <br />SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR SOIL AND CONCRETE TESTING - FIRST BANK CENTER <br />Sollitt Construction Company submitted to the Board the Schedule <br />of Fees for various tests and services performed by Shilts, Graves <br />and Associates, Inc; who will act an independent soils and concrete <br />laboratory for the First Bank Center project. Mr. McMahon noted <br />that this work will be performed as needed. Upon motion made.by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Schedule of <br />Fees was approved by the Board. <br />
