Mr. McMahon <br />made a motion to approve the house move, subject to the filing <br />of the necessary certificate of insurance and securing the <br />necessary permits. Mr, Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. <br />Mr. Brademas tendered to the Board the one dollar purchase price <br />for the house. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3474 CONFIRMED <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on Vacation Resolution <br />No. 3474 for the vacation of the 14' alley which abuts the north <br />side of the Cathedral of St. James and runs east and west from <br />Lafayette Boulevard to St. James Court. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The petitioner, <br />the Cathedral of St, James, was represented by Attorney William <br />Albright who said he would answer any questions the Board might <br />have. Mr. McMahon noted that the vacation petition received a <br />favorable recommendation from the Area Plan Commission, Engineering <br />Department and the Community Development Department. There were <br />no remonstrators present and no written remonstrances were filed <br />with the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the Vacation Resolution was confirmed <br />and the Board directed,that an Assessment Roll be prepared. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL, VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3471 <br />PROCEEDINGS CLOSED <br />This was the date set for holding a hearing on the Assessment <br />Roll with respect to Vacation Resolution No. 3471, 1979 for the <br />vacation of the first north -south alley east of Bendix Drive <br />running from Green Street south to Bonds Avenue and the west 23' <br />of the east -west alley running between Lots 29 and 35 of a Part <br />of Westchester's First Sub. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. The Assessment Roll <br />lists $0.00 net benefits and $0.00 net damages to abutting <br />property. There was no one present to speak on the Assessment Roll <br />and no written remonstrances were filed with the Board. Mr. <br />McMahon noted that the vacation was subject to the dedication of <br />an easement from the petitioners, the American Bank and Trust <br />Company. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the Assessment. Roll was approved and all proceedings <br />ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed subject to <br />receipt of the deed of easement. <br />APPROVAL OF BOOTH APPLICATIONS FOR ETHNIC FESTIVAL <br />Michele M. Dobski, Coordinator for River Bend Plaza, submitted <br />to the Board food booth and craft booth applications for the <br />Ethnic Festival to be held on June 30 and July 1 on River Bend <br />Plaza. Insurance certificates and Health Department permits <br />are attached or are being secured and Miss Dobski recommended <br />approval of the applications.
