i <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />STREET LIGHT RECOMMENDATION APPROVED <br />JUNE 11, 1979 <br />Joseph J. P1uta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended removal of one light on the court south of <br />Marion and West of Main and replacement at that location of one <br />7000L MV OH WP and also installation of one 7000L MV OH WP in <br />the 300 block Meade Street. Total monthly increase would be <br />$7.69. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />BLOCK PARTY APPROVED - E. WAYNE ST. ON SATURDAY, JUNE 16 <br />The request of Georgianne Whelan to hold a Block Party in the <br />1200 Block E. Wayne Street South in connection with the Special <br />Olympics program was reviewed-by the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting. Mr. Wadzinski reported no objection to the closing, <br />but asked that the Board reserve the option of closing Sunnyside <br />as an alternate location if the sponsors agree Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />recommendation was approved. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Vance submitted to the Board <br />a request to increase charges made to the Indiana State Highway <br />Department for traffic signal maintenance on State highway <br />intersections within the City. Presently the City receives <br />$5,000 annually from the State and it is felt, in view of the <br />frozen tax rate and rising costs, that the charge must be <br />increased. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the request was filed and referred to Mr. <br />McMahon for preparation of correspondence to the State Highway <br />Department. <br />BOND RELEASED - FRED M. STUMP <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau.of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that the request to release the Contractor's Bond of Fred M. Stump <br />had been reviewed and there are no outstanding permits or claims <br />against the contractor so the bond can be released. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />bond was released effective this date. <br />
