300i REGULAR MEETING JUNE 11. 1979 The 25th day of June, 1979 at -the hour of 9:30 o'clock, local time, is hereby fixed as the time and the Board of Public Works Hearing Room, Room 1308, County -City Building as the Place when and where the Board will hear all persons interested or whose property is or will be affected by the proposed improvement on the question as to whether the special benefits that will accrue to the property to be assessed, abutting on the line of the proposed sewer or drain, will be equal to the estimated cost of the improvements. On the day named, any and all interested persons who may appear before the Board shall have a full hearing on the question and on any matter pertaining to the proposed improvement. The Clerk of the Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publications of the time and place of hearing of this resolution, in two newspapers representing the two major political parties, the first publication to be not less than ten (10) days before the date of hearing. ACTION, Inc. submitted to the Board in -kind contribution vouchers for the rental of Old Fire Station Ten and Seven under present lease agreements. The vouchers cover the period from October, 1978 through May, 1979 and are in the amount of $17,196.24 for Station Ten and $6,745.36 for Station Seven. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the vouchers were referred to the Controller's Office for review and recommendation. REQUEST TO LEASE FIRE STATION EIGHT FILED ACTION, Inc. submitted a request to be considered for the future use of Old Fire Station Eight when the Fire Department no longer needs the building. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was referred to the Fire Department for review and comments. REQUESTS FOR OPEN AIR STANDS FILED The Board received a request from Laverne Przygocki to operate an open air stand for the sale of fireworks at the southeast corner of Portage and King Street and at 1346 N. Ironwood. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the applications were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department for review and recommendation. The applicant for the stand at 1346 N. Ironwood is Steve Crane.
