300i <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 11. 1979 <br />The 25th day of June, 1979 at -the hour of 9:30 o'clock, local <br />time, is hereby fixed as the time and the Board of Public Works <br />Hearing Room, Room 1308, County -City Building as the Place when <br />and where the Board will hear all persons interested or whose <br />property is or will be affected by the proposed improvement on <br />the question as to whether the special benefits that will accrue <br />to the property to be assessed, abutting on the line of the <br />proposed sewer or drain, will be equal to the estimated cost <br />of the improvements. On the day named, any and all interested <br />persons who may appear before the Board shall have a full hearing <br />on the question and on any matter pertaining to the proposed <br />improvement. <br />The Clerk of the Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two <br />weekly publications of the time and place of hearing of this <br />resolution, in two newspapers representing the two major political <br />parties, the first publication to be not less than ten (10) days <br />before the date of hearing. <br />Adopted this 11th day of.June, 1979. <br />s/ Patrick M. Brunner <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />IN -KIND CONTRIBUTION VOUCHERS FILED - A.C.T.I.O.N _ INC. <br />ACTION, Inc. submitted to the Board in -kind contribution vouchers <br />for the rental of Old Fire Station Ten and Seven under present <br />lease agreements. The vouchers cover the period from October, 1978 <br />through May, 1979 and are in the amount of $17,196.24 for Station <br />Ten and $6,745.36 for Station Seven. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the vouchers were referred to <br />the Controller's Office for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO LEASE FIRE STATION EIGHT FILED <br />ACTION, Inc. submitted a request to be considered for the future <br />use of Old Fire Station Eight when the Fire Department no longer <br />needs the building. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was referred to the Fire <br />Department for review and comments. <br />REQUESTS FOR OPEN AIR STANDS FILED <br />The Board received a request from Laverne Przygocki to operate <br />an open air stand for the sale of fireworks at the southeast <br />corner of Portage and King Street and at 1346 N. Ironwood. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the applications were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department for review and recommendation. The <br />applicant for the stand at 1346 N. Ironwood is Steve Crane. <br />
