The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />Crescent Electric Company Bid was signed by Floyd A. Waugh, <br />Indianapolis, Indiana non - collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a certified check was submitted. <br />Bid: Item <br />1 - <br />Fixed Time Controller <br />$2,040.18 <br />Item <br />2 - <br />8 Phase Digital Controller <br />7,414.18 <br />Item <br />3 - <br />4 Phase Digital Controller <br />5,287.74 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the bids were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for <br />review and recommendation. <br />SECURITY ALARM CONTRACT APPROVED - OLD FIRE STATION TWELVE <br />Chief Michael Borkowski reported to the Board that, in connection <br />with the use of Old Fire Station 12 at 1040 Lincolnway East as <br />a Police Special Operations Headquarters, the Department requested <br />proposals from three vendors for a security alarm system. Following <br />a review of these proposals, the Department is recommending acceptance <br />of the proposal from Indiana Security Systems, Inc. at an initial <br />cost of $840.00, plus $240 for Fire and Smoke Protection, and a <br />monthly lease maintenance agreement cost of $25.00. Upon notion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />contract was approved. <br />
