Public Hearing <br /> <br />(1) continued… <br /> <br />newspaper on April 30, 2010; An affidavit <br />from Richard Andrysiak, Classified Manager <br />of the Tri-County News, that the Notice of <br />Hearing was published in that newspaper on <br />April 30, 2010; A statement from David <br />Relos that on April 28, 2010 affected <br />property owners and registered neighborhood <br />associations were sent notice of the Public <br />Hearing; The mail was checked prior to this <br />meeting. As of 10:00 a.m., May 21, 2010, <br />there were ___no___ written remonstrances <br />received related to Resolution No. 2668. <br /> <br />Mr. Inks noted that Ms. Lori Cole sent a <br />letter in support of adding her property at <br />1510 Catalpa to the Acquisition List. She <br />had purchased the property for investment, <br />had begun to rehab it, but has put the rehab <br />on hold pending the city’s acquisition. <br /> <br />Mr. Inks noted that Arthur Bottorff ,United <br />Building Technology, sent a letter in support <br />Resolution No. 2668 adding 913-915 W. <br />Indiana and 1522 Prairie Ave. to the <br />Acquisition List, saying “The area needs and <br />deserves redevelopment. This action, I <br />believe, will lead to additional investment by <br />private and commercial sectors, helping <br />make South Bend a better place to work and <br />live.” <br /> <br />Mr. Relos distributed maps to the <br />Commissioners showing which properties are <br />proposed to be added to the List of Properties <br />to be Acquired. The largest area is on the <br />north side of Indiana Avenue between Taylor <br /> 6 <br /> <br />
