POLICE SELECTION PANEL MARCH 10 2010 18 The Police Selection Panel met at 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in the Common Council Chambers, 401 Floor, County City Building, South Bend, Indiana, for the purpose of formulating a recommendation to be made to the Board of Public Safety. President Juanita Dempsey, Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar, and Police Chief Darryl Boykins were present. Upon a motion made by Mr. Bodnar, seconded by President Dempsey and carried, the panel approved the recommendation from Chief Darryl Boykins to hire the following seven (7) police officers whose names were read by Chief Boykins: - DEVON RICHARD JOHNSON - JEFFERY MONTEL CHESTER - ERIC JAY MENTZ - TYLER ROBERT DONLON - DANIEL JAMES NAPOLITAN - ANDREW GARRETT HINES - TIMOTHY ROBERT TAYLOR The meeting adjourned at 8:30 a.m. BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY ` Iuanita Demsey, President 4' Patrick D. Martin, C16rk EXECUTIVE SESSION MARCH 10, 2010 The Board of Public Safety met in the Executive Session on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 8:40 a.m. The meeting was held in the Mayor's Conference Room, 14th Floor, County City Building, South Bend, Indiana, for the purposes specified in I.C. 5- 14- 1.5 -6.1 (b) (2) (B) and (b) (6) (A). President Juanita Dempsey, and Board Members Patrick D. Cottrell, Bruce BonDurant, and Laura Vasquez were present. Board Member Eddie Miller was absent. Also present were Police Chief Darryl Boykins, Fire Chief Howard Buchanon, and Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. Board members did not discuss any subject matter other than the subject matter as specified in the Public Notice.
