<br />confirmed and approved without modification, and the proceedings closed. The Bard
<br />now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />This being the date set hearin was had on the assessment roll for the
<br />pavement of the alleys in Summit Place Fifth �ddition under Improvement Resolution
<br />No. I88I.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, one remonstrator appeared but no
<br />written remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds
<br />that the severalllots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have
<br />been benefited in the amounts named on said roll. The Board, therefore, over rules
<br />the remonstrance and takes final action on said assessment,roll and declares same in
<br />all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board
<br />now orders said -assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />City Engineer, 12r. H. G. Wray, filed the following primary assessment ;I
<br />rolls:
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Washington Avenue from Yldade Street
<br />Street to Daley 6treet under Improvement Resolution No.I892.
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Rolland Street from Meade 6treet to j S
<br />Kaley Street under Improvement Resolution No.I895.
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Main Street from Ewing Avenue to
<br />Fairview Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I909.
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Newcome Street from Meade Street to
<br />Raley Street under Improvement Resolution No.I9I2.
<br />In all of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders that
<br />on the 9th., day of November, 1927, this Board will meet in their office in the City
<br />Hall at 7-I5 P. IA., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
<br />has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several lots and
<br />parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvements have been or will be benefited"
<br />in the amounts shot),rn on said assessment rolls or in a greater or less amount. The Boara
<br />further order:°s that notices of said hearings on assessment rolls shall be published on
<br />the 6th., day of November and on the 5th., day of November, 1927 in the South Bend
<br />News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed primary assessment roll for the
<br />construction of grade, curb, walk and pavement on &>herman, Rose, Roosevelt and Beale
<br />Street under Improvement Resolution No.I79I.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the
<br />9th., day of November, I927, this Board will meet in their office in the City. Hall at
<br />7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has
<br />been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels;!
<br />of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said assessment roll or
<br />in a greater or less amount.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had..on the assessment roll for the
<br />pavement on Frances Street from Lorin Street to South Bend Avenue under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I864.
<br />In the above named assessment roll several remonstrators appeared but
<br />no remonstrance was filed. Margaret Tavernier ovrner of the following described propertl •
<br />was among the remonstrators:
<br />"Beginning at S ff corner of Lot 5 Sorins Ist., a(Mition, thence north 40
<br />feet, thence east I29.7 feet thence south 40 feet thence crest I29.7 feet to beginning."
<br />After hearing all persons interested in said assessment roll, the Board
<br />decides to reduce the assessment of Margaret Tavernier from 477,96 to 377.96 and the
<br />pay the reduction out of the Appropriation for Refunds, awards and Damages, Appropriati
<br />No. H23. With this modification, the Board finds that the other lots and parcels of
<br />land primarily assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the amounts shown
<br />on said assessment roll and therefore, the Board takes final action on said assessment
<br />roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved, as modified, and
<br />the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the
<br />Department of Finance.

<br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Woodside Street from Fellows Street to
<br />a point 120 feet west of the west line of Dale Street under Improvement Aesolution
<br />No.I8I6.
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Oakside Street from the west l-ine of
<br />Fellows Street to Miami Street under Improvement Resolution No.I836.
<br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders that
<br />on ,the 8th. , day of November, 1927, this Board will meet in their office at 10:00 A,M, ,�
