<br />A petition being filed for- a change of the type of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Kaley Street
<br />from South line of Division Street to the North line of Sample Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I922, City Engineer, Mr. H. G. dray, submitted the following report. -
<br />There are 62 resident property holders located on this proppos1
<br />improvement, 20 of whom have signed the petitions in favor of a concrete pavement, This
<br />does not constitute a majority and I would, herefore, recommend that a final order .be
<br />made for sheet asphalt. signed H. G. Wray, ity Engineer."
<br />The Board, therefore, makes a final order for sheet asphalt as
<br />the . type of pavement with which Kaley Street from the south line of Division Street to
<br />north line of Sample #treet under Improvement Resol Lion No.I922 shall be improved and
<br />awards the contract for said improvement to Albert Construction to., at their low bid
<br />of 35,232.80.
<br />This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read 11
<br />for the construction of a sewer on Dunham street frin Kal ey Street to a point IO feet ea�pt
<br />of the west line of Lot 964 Summit Place Addition under Improvement Resolution No,I933.

<br />No.I for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Liberty Street from Jefferson Blvd., to
<br />Washington Avenue
<br />in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and
<br />Carl E. Zimmer, contractor, under Improvement resolution No.I900. Board -signed and
<br />approved same in the amount of 19374.67.
<br />The Board approved the recommendation of W. F. Qualls, for the
<br />removal of light No.415 located on the Jefferson Blvd., bridge.
<br />Upon the recommendation of Wm. F. Qualls, the Board approved
<br />the petition of the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co., to extend their pole and wire
<br />line along Twenty-second Street between the Grand Trunk Railway and McKinley Avenue.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed primary assessment roll
<br />for the pavement of Carroll street from Dayton Street to Milton Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I888.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that
<br />on the I4th., day of October, 1927, this Board will meet in their office in the City
<br />Hall at 7-I5 P. IT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
<br />has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and
<br />parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said roll or in
<br />a greater or less amount. Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be
<br />published on the 7th. , day of October and on the 8th. , day of October, I927, in the
<br />South Bend News Times and Tribune.
<br />Gity Engineer, M.r. H. G. Mira y, filed plans, specifications and
<br />estimates and the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of a local sewer
<br />in the alley south of Campau Street from Frances Street to the center line of Lot 5
<br />Turnock and Hartman's Sub., under Improvement Resolution No.I96I.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board, hereby,
<br />orders that on the 26th., day of October, I927, this Board will meet in the office in
<br />the City Hail at 7-I5 P. M. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
<br />property is liable to be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the
<br />benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to
<br />the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board further orders that
<br />notices of said hearing shall be published on the 30th., day of aeptember and on the
<br />7th.0 day of October, I927, in the South Bend Nees Times and Tribune.
