<br />Bias having been received for the construction of grade, curb
<br />and walk on Kentucky Street from Division Street to J-efferson Blvd., under Improvement
<br />Resolution iTo.I823, the Board this I5th. , day of June, I9279 hereby awards the
<br />contract for said improvement to Alex Bukowski at his low bid of I,906.93.
<br />Bids having been received for the construction of grade, curb and
<br />walk on Liberty Street from Division Street to Zefferson Blvd., "tdider Improvement I
<br />Resolution.No.I822, the Board this I5th., day of June, 1927, hereby awards the contract
<br />for said improvement to Alex Bukowski at his low bid. of $2,293.030
<br />Bids having been received for the construction of grade, curb and
<br />walk on Huey Street from feller Street to l+�arquette Blvd,, under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I820, the Board this I5th., day of June, I927., hereby awards the contract for said
<br />improvement to H. N. Barnes at his low bid of $3,104.15.
<br />Bias having been received for the. construction of grade, curb and
<br />walk on Oliver Street from Ewing Avenue to Donald Street under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I8I9, the Board this I5th., day of Ju:ie, I927 hereby awards the contract for said
<br />improvement to A. E. A.nderson at his low bid of2,02I.75. �I
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No.
<br />. I859 for the vacation of the first alley west of I.iain Street from the North line -of
<br />&arst Street to the south line of the first alley north of Garst Street and from the
<br />North line of the first alley north of Garst Street to the South line of Sample St.
<br />In the above matter, hberemonstrators appeared and no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, being duly advised in the premises, tales final
<br />on said Vacation Resolution No.I859, confirming without modification all former action
<br />taken on same. The Board not•i orders that a list or roll be prepared of IL11 owners of
<br />property or of valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously
<br />affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I858 for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Eckman Street from the Last
<br />line of Studebaker Place Addition to the Last line of High Street, also from a point
<br />ISO feet wrest of the west line of Dale Avenue to Miami Street.
<br />In the above matter, a written remonstrance was filed by Julian
<br />Ivan against said improvement. After due consideration in this matter, the Board
<br />decides to continue hearing on said resolution until June 22nd., 1927, at 7-I5 P.11.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing was, had on the Assessment
<br />Roll -for the "construction of the South -East Trunk Sevier mnder Improvement Resolution
<br />1635'.
<br />In the above matter, a written remonstrance was filed by the
<br />Chicago, South Bend and Northern Indiana Railway Co., against the changed assessment
<br />for said improvement. Iv:r. Frank J. 1111urray,. representing the Tveyckenham Land and
<br />Investment -Co., also remonstrated against the changed assessment for said improvement.
<br />After fareful consideration, the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds that
<br />the several lots and parcels of land which have been assessed for said improvement -
<br />have been or will be benefited in the amounts shovin on said modified assessment roll
<br />and therefore confirms said assessment roll as modified. The Board hereby orders,
<br />howevor, that the controller be instructed to with -hold $I,000.00 from said assessment
<br />roll until the contractor repairs the side walk on 8glvert Street and :the pavement on
<br />Ewing Avenue.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed primary assessment roll for
<br />the pipe sewer on Garland Street from South Bend Avenue to a point IO feet South of
<br />North line of Lot 27 Parker and Allen's Sub., under Improvement Resolution No.I850.
<br />In the ab ove mat per, the Board hereby orders that on June. 2lst. ,
<br />1927, this Board will meet at it's office in the City Hall to hear and receive remon-
<br />strances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and
<br />willdecide whether the benefits to the property assessed for said improvement are
<br />equal the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The property
<br />owners having waived all defense for and in defense of said proceedings, no publicb-
<br />Lion is neeessxry on this assessment roll.

<br />In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the 2Iot.,
<br />day of June, 1927, this Board will meet in their office at IO:00. A. M., in the City
<br />to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons 7;ihose property has been assessed
<br />for said Vacation. Board furh1.er orders that notices of said benefits and damages
<br />and of said hearing on Assessment roll for same, shall be served according to law.
<br />The Board approved the continuing Bond of the Indiana Bell Telephone
<br />jCo., in the amount of I,000.00 signed by the American Surety Co., of New York.
<br />The Board signed the contract with the Williston Construction Co.,
<br />for the pavement with sheet asphalt of LaSalle Avenue under Improvement Resolution No
<br />18121 in the amount of 2I,708.40. Board approved the construction Bond of same for
