Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion <br />that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above, including <br />the maintenance of traffic and mobilization/demobilization. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, <br />which carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION — 2017 CRACK SEALING — PROJECT NO. 117-102 (LRSA) <br />Ms. Tara Weigand, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 19, 2017, quotations were <br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms. <br />Weigand recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and <br />responsible bidder, Asphalt Restoration Services, LLC, PO Box 2484, South Bend, IN 46680, in <br />unit prices for a total of $85,000. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation <br />be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, <br />which carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION — FLIR TRAFFIC CAMERAS — PROJECT NO. 117-122 (LRSA) <br />Ms. Tara Weigand, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 19, 2017, quotations were <br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms. <br />Weigand recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and <br />responsible bidder, Pemberton Davis Electric, Inc., 916 E. McKinley Ave., Mishawaka, IN <br />46545, in the amount of unit prices to total $104,920 for Divisions A, B and C. Therefore, Ms. <br />Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as <br />outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION — MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER MARQUEE DISPLAY <br />INSTALLATION — PROJECT NO. 117-070A (MORRIS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS) <br />Mr. Tara Weigand, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 12, 2017, quotations were <br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms. <br />Weigand recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and <br />responsible bidder, Burkhart Sign Systems, LLC, 1247 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN <br />46615, in the amount of $19,000. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation <br />be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, <br />which carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION — SOUTH BEND FIRE DEPARTMENT OBSOLETE HELMET <br />REPLACEMENT (SUPPLIES/OTHER OPERATING SUPPLIES) <br />Mr. Todd Skwarcan, Fire Department, advised the Board that on December 12, 2017, quotations <br />were received and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those quotations, <br />Mr. Skwarcan recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and <br />responsible bidder, Phoenix Safety Outfitters, LLC, 1619 Commerce Road, Springfield, OH <br />45504, in the amount of $47,000. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation <br />be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, <br />which carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION — CENTURY CENTER FIRE PUMP REPLACEMENT — PROJECT <br />NO. 117-038 (HOTEL/MOTEL TAX) <br />Ms. Tara Weigand, Engineering, advised the Board that on November 28, 2017, quotations were <br />due for the above referenced project. After no quotes were received, quotes were solicited on the <br />open market. After reviewing those quotations, Ms. Weigand recommended that the Board <br />award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Shambaugh & Son, LP, <br />56575 Twin Branch Drive, Ste. A, Mishawaka, IN 46545, in the amount of $49,965. Therefore, <br />Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as <br />outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which carried. <br />AWARD PROPOSAL — MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER WATER SOFTENER <br />SYSTEM (MORRIS IMPROVEMENTS FUND) <br />Mr. Patrick Sherman, Venues, Parks and Arts, advised the Board that on December 12, 2017, <br />proposals were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those <br />proposals, Mr. Sherman recommended that the Board award the contract to the highest scoring <br />responsible vendor, Culligan Water, 56861 Ferrettie Ct., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
