<br />AWARD BID — IRONWOOD DRIVE. SIDEWALK, EDISON ROAD TO S.R. 23 — PROJECT
<br />NO. 117-033A (LRSA)
<br />Mr. Roger Nawrot, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 12, 2017, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Nawrot
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Walsh & Kelly, Inc., 24358 S.R. 23, South Bend, IN 46614, in unit prices not to exceed
<br />$182,984.50. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br />bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — JEFFERSON AND TWYCKENHAM SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS —
<br />PROJECT NO. 116-027 (LRSA)
<br />Mr. Roger Nawrot, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 12, 2017, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Nawrot
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Martell Electric, LLC, 4601 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46628, in unit prices not to exceed
<br />$197,157.47. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br />bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — REPAIR AND INSTALLATION OF OVERHEAD DOORS FOR ALL CITY
<br />DEPARTMENTS — SPEC AJ (VARIOUS DEPARTMENT'S OPERATING BUDGETS)
<br />Mr. Adam Parsons, Central Services, advised the Board that on December 12, 2017, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Parsons
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Industrial Door of Northern Indiana, 3839 S. Main Street, South Bend, IN 46614, in hourly rates
<br />as listed. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid
<br />be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — OLD CLAY UTILITIES SEWER LINING — PROJECT NO. 117-087
<br />(UTILITIES/CONTRACTUAL SERVICES/OTHER)
<br />Ms. Sue Ellen Doudrick, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 12, 2017, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Doudrick
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Selge Construction Co., Inc., 2833 S. I Ph Street, Niles, MI 49120 in the amount of $205,745.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — 2017-2018 TRAFFIC LOOPS — PROJECT NO 117-124 (LRSA)
<br />Mr. Roger Nawrot, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 19, 2017, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Mr.
<br />Nawrot recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidder, Pemberton Davis Electric, Inc., 916 E. McKinley Avenue, Mishawaka, IN 46545, in the
<br />amount of $55,400. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a motion that the recommendation be accepted
<br />and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — NAVARRE STREET MILLING AND ASPHALT OVERLAY
<br />PROJECT NO. 117-128 (LRSA)
<br />Ms. Sue Ellen Doudrick, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 19, 2017, quotations
<br />were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations,
<br />Ms. Doudrick recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Walsh & Kelly, Inc., 24358 SR 23, South Bend, Indiana 46614, in the
<br />amount of $42,503.50 for the Base Bid plus Alternate No. 1. Therefore, Ms. Dorau made a
<br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above.

<br />Ms. Sue Ellen Doudrick, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 19, 2017, quotations
<br />were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations,
<br />Ms. Doudrick recommended that the Board award the contract to the sole responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, The Airmarking Co. Inc., 1544 N.SR 25, PO Box 526, Rochester, IN 46975,
<br />in the amount of $72,500 for the Base Bid plus Alternate No. 2. Ms. Doudrick noted that the
