Wednesday,, September I8th . , 1929. <br />assessment roll in all things ratified, confirmed and appproved as modified and the <br />proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Depart- <br />ment of Finance. <br />City Engineer, E. G. gray, submitted the tabulation of bids for the grad <br />ing of the alley south. of Donald Street from Robinson Street to Sampson Street under <br />Improvement -Resolution No.2280, as follows: <br />Eston Ball 1 456.00 <br />i <br />Bids having been received for the grading cf the alley south of Donald <br />Street from Robinson Street to Sampson Street under ImprovemEnt Resolution No 2280, the <br />Board this I8th. , day of September I929, hereby awards :the contract to Eston Ball at <br />his low bid of $456.00% <br />i <br />The -board approved the Final Estimate submitted by City Engineer H. G. <br />Wray for the pavement on VI'ilber Street from Lincoln Way Vest to Elwood Avenue under <br />Improvement Resolution No.2253 in the amount of 032,422.80. <br />City hngineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and <br />the Board adopted said plans and specifica ti ons t ogethe r with the follcping improvement <br />resolution: <br />Improvement resolution No.230I for the pavement of the alley Est of <br />Ed I son Street from �'ord Street to Euron Street. (See files fcr copy of resolution.) <br />j In the above named improvement resolution, property owners filed a <br />waiver, waiving P11 objections on and in defense to any defect in proceedings and town <br />violation in procedure for the construction of street or alley improvement as fixed by <br />law. The Board also approved the construction bond of same <br />for 507o of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Co. <br />The -board signed the contra ct ,with Albert Construction Gompany for the <br />I <br />sheet asphalt pavement improvement on Doliald street under Improvenent Resolution No. <br />2273 in the amount of26,672.60. The Board also approved the construction bond of sam <br />for 50% of the contrast price signed by Inland Bonding Company. <br />i <br />City Enginedr, H. G. (See files for <br />copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution_ No.2302 f or the pavement of the west Q of Logan <br />Street from the north line of MUshawaka Avenye to the south edge of the concrete pave- <br />; went in Jefferson Boulevard. (See f iles for copy cF re solution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2299 for the local sewer in 1-1mer Street <br />i; between Longley Avenye and 2rederickson Street. (See files Cor copy cC resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2300 for the local sewer in Huey Street from <br />• '; Lot 19 Pra st Sub and on Longlev Avenye from Huey Street to Olive Street. ( See f i les <br />for <br />copy of resolution.) <br />I <br />In all of the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orderz, <br />t <br />the on the 9th., day of October 1929, this Board will meet in their .office in the City <br />Hall at 7-I5 P. M. � to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property <br />is liable to be assessed fbr said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to <br />the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said ikprovements will b <br />equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board furth �r <br />orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the 21st. J day of 'pep tember <br />and on the 28t�r., day of September I929, in the South Bend Nms Times and Tribune accor- <br />j ing to law. <br />� This being the date sets hearings were had on the following: improvement <br />resolutions: <br />Improvement Resolution No.2289 for the pavement of the alley south of <br />
