50 Wednesday, September I8t h. , ;920. <br />Tilton Street from Nigh! 6treet to Dale Avenue. <br />Improvement resolution No .2290 for the pavement of the k1ley <br />east of Nigh Street from 1,ilton Street to Calvert street, <br />In both of the above na:n.ed improvement resolutions, no remon- <br />strr= tors appeared and no written remons tra nce was filed and the Board, being fully ad- <br />vised in the premises, finds that the benefits. to the several Tots and parcels of land <br />liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of samE <br />as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action <br />on said improvement resolutions and declares same in all things ratified., confirmed and <br />approved without modification. <br />The Board now orders that on the Ist.,, day cC October 1929, th <br />Board will receive, open and reaa serled proposals for the co4struction of said.' improve <br />ments up to I0:00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall <br />3ublished on the 20th.0 day of September and on the 271t., day of September I929 in the <br />out h Bencl News Times and Tribune according to law. <br />This being; the date set., hearing s were bad on the following <br />vacation resolutions: <br />Vacation Resolution No.229I for the Vacaation Df the alley <br />north of werwinski street from the wrest line of Wilber Street to the west line of Lot <br />64 in Kauffman Place Addition projected north. ( See files for copy of resolution.) <br />vaca. tion Resolution No.2293 for the Vacation of Lnden Avenue <br />from New York central Railroad rig1-t of Way to the new location of Linden avenge. (See <br />files for copy of resolution.) <br />In all of the above named vacation resoltuojs, no remonstrator. <br />appeared. and no written ^emonstrences we-e filed and the Board, being fully advised in <br />the premises decides to take final action on said vacation resolutions and declares same <br />in all things r-tified, confirmed and approved and the street and alley vacated, The <br />Board now orders that lists or rolls be prepared cif' all owners and holders of property <br />and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be affected by :such vacationf <br />which lists or rolls shall also describe the property beneficially affected by such <br />vacations. <br />The Bce rd signed the claim of E. T. Tranberg against the Air <br />Port Department in the amount of 02,779.02. <br />This being the detq set, hearing was had on the resolution for <br />the Vacation of Kankakeerenue from r'eade Street to Linden Avenue under Vacation Res- <br />olution No.2292. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />I# <br />In the above named vacation resolution, representatives of <br />the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company were present remonstrating against said � <br />vacation resolution. After hearing all persons interested in said vacation and being; <br />fully advised in the premises, the Board decides to modify said Vacation Resolution <br />to read as follows: vacation of Kankakee Avenue from the west line of the alley west <br />of Kaley Street to Linden Avenue, more particularly described as follows, to -wit: <br />I <br />Beginning at the intersection of tb e south line of Kankakee <br />Avenue with the west line of the alley west of Kaley Street, thence north to the south <br />right of way line of the New York Central Railroad, thence northwesterly aloo.g said south <br />line to the south lane of Linden Avenue :�roduced eastg thence west along said south lin <br />of Linden Avenye produced east to the south line of Kankakee Avenue, thence southeaster-' <br />ly along the said south . I ine to the west line of the alley west of Kaley Street, the <br />place of beginning, excepting that portion lying within ti-�_e new location of Llfdlan <br />Avenue. <br />With this modification, the Board decides to take final actionii <br />on said Vacetion Resolution and declares sme in all things r^tified, confirmed and <br />approved as modified. The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of ill own-;1 <br />ers end holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken, whichl- <br />list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected by such vacation. 11 <br />Meeting adjourned at 9-30 P.
