<br />City Engineer, TT. G. `:dray, filed the follo,, ing primary assessment roll-s:
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Bendi:x Drive from Linden Avenue to
<br />Bertrand Street under Improvement Resolution TTo.2271.
<br />Assessment roll for the local sewer in Johnson Street from Bulla Street
<br />to Keller Street under Improvement Resolution No.2240.
<br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board, hereby, orders
<br />that on the 25th. day of September 1929, this Board ,Faill meet in their office in
<br />the City Hall at 7-I5 P. PIT, to '.clear and -receive remonstrances from all persons whose
<br />property has been' assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several
<br />lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said
<br />assessment rolls or in a greater or less sum than that named on said rolls.
<br />The Board signed and a-pproved the guarant6e bond of the Albert Construction
<br />Company for the pavement on Sample street from ,"I. line of Olivestreet to 7. line of
<br />N. J. I. : I. R. R. , under Improvement Resolution '.o. 2I44 in the amount of 1757.13
<br />signed by Inland Bonding company.
<br />This being the dote set,
<br />rolls: hearings riere had on the following assessment
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Douglas Street from Dubail Avenue
<br />to Bruce "street under Improvement Resolution No.2252.
<br />assessment roll for the local seT?r�rs in'Albert Avenue, Edison Avenue,
<br />rladstone Avenue from 130• S of Ford Street to the TT line of Sample Street and from
<br />the alley iT of Sample Street from F line of Belleville 3rd., Unit to the 77 line of
<br />Belleville 3rd., Unit under Improvement Resolution TTo.22I5.
<br />In both of the above named assessment _rolls, no remonstrators appeared and
<br />no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in.the premises
<br />finds that the several lots and parcels of land hav-e been benefited in the amounts
<br />shown on said primary rolls. The Board, therefore, takes final action on -said rolls
<br />and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification
<br />and the proceedings closed.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for
<br />the pavement of Yai.n Street from Fairview Avenue to alley south of ''doodside Street
<br />under Improvement Resolution No.2226.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, fin('._s that
<br />the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts shoT=m on said
<br />assessment roil. The Board, the--refore,' decides to take final action on said primary
<br />roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved wit3iout modifi-
<br />cation. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Fin
<br />ance.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll
<br />for the pavement on T'ichigan ''tre-it from Donmoyer Avenue to Tot No.5 Chippewa 7-eights
<br />Additi.on under Improvement Resolution 70.2245.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, special 'iginner Chas. 7. Cole
<br />having. revised said assessment roll, presented the modified assessment roll to the
<br />Board'. After heq,rin- all persons interested in said assessment roll and being fully
<br />advised in the premises, the Board, finds that the several lots and parcels of land
<br />have been benefited in the amounts sho.vn on said modified roll. The Board hherefore
<br />declares said assessment r611 in all thing:. ratified, confirmed and approved and the
<br />proceedings closed. The Board nova orders said assessment roll delivered to the Depart
<br />mint of Finance. -
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for t'Ze
<br />pavement on Sample Street from 7. line of Olive Street to W. line of 7. J. I. &- I. R.
<br />under Improvement Resolution Yo- 2I44.
<br />In the above namec assessment roll, written remonstrances were -filed by
<br />the New, Yor'> Central Railroad, by its attorney John G. Yeagley, and by the Grand Trunk
<br />West Railroad Company, through its attorneys Barker, Crabill and Crumpac'ter. 7pon
<br />the request of these attorneys, the Board decides to continue hearing on said roll
<br />until September 2.5th., I929.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
<br />pavement. on Foster Otre-�t from Hos,Tard 6treet to ot. `Tincent Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution TTo.2247.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, Ernest 73eiland, oTFmer of Lot TTo.I in
<br />Daliman's Addition remonstrated against his assessment of : II5.30. In vielzt of the
<br />fact that this lr)t is only 33 feet wide and has a depth of 225 feet, the Board decides
<br />to modify said assessment roll by reducing this assessment-70,00, leaving the amount
<br />assessed against Lot I in Dallmanrs Addition p45.39 and the City to pay this reduction
<br />of 70-30 out of Refunds, awards and damages appropriation. After hearing all persons
<br />interested in said assessment roll, the Board takes final action and declares said
