<br />representing the people who had filed a remonstrance against said vacation on I -ay
<br />7th, , 1929. T�Tr. Bergan told the Board that the people whom he represented wished
<br />to withdraw'the remonstrance filed on the above date, as they felt that the ;improve
<br />ment to be made by the Indiana and �Tichigan Electric Company along EaSalle AvenuAp and

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />Confirming our verbal statement of our proposed construction in the event of the
<br />the vacation of Bridge Street ,lie advise you as follows:
<br />I. ire will erect a modern firepr6of 3 storey garage building, fronting on
<br />LaSalle Street adjacent to the old 111inkler Factory.
<br />2. Extent an ornamental wall I0-I2 feet high along the north property line
<br />from th- garage, building above referred to, to the race. This wall will
<br />be illuminated by suitable and sufficinet lighting fixtures.
<br />3. New sidewalk will be installed along north property frontage.
<br />4. -le will remodel the present boiler room converting same into storage ware-
<br />house.
<br />5. Remodel the southeast corner of the turbine room to provide office
<br />quarter for our Engineering, Di stribut ion and T etTer Departments, and
<br />office for storeroom Accounting.
<br />6. q�'xtend viall along Colfax Avenue on the south property line from present
<br />11piantbtilding to the first alley viest -of Bridge Street, said wall to
<br />be . similiar to wall fronting on La'�'ajle 'venue.
<br />Indiana and 1"ichigan 'aectric__Company upon the final determination of the
<br />vacation proceedings vacating #ridge atreet, will immediately have prepared plans'
<br />and specifications covering these improvements,and will dilligently prosecute the work
<br />to be performed and attempt to complete sake in its entirety by January Ist., 1930.

<br />eft-r hearing all persons interested in said macation resolution No.2I96 and
<br />being fully advised in the -premises, the Board decides to tote final action on said
<br />resolution and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and arproved without
<br />modification. The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners of
<br />property and of valuable interests therein :'sought to be taCen, which list or roll
<br />shall also describe the -property beneficially affected by'such vacation.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement
<br />resolutions:
<br />Imrroverient Resolution No.2222 for the pavement of the west one half of Bendix
<br />Drive from the south line of uumboldt Street to the north line of Lincoln Way West.

<br />Im-provement Resolution No.222I for the pavement of the south one half of
<br />Humboldt Street from the center line of Bendix Drive to the west line of Lot 39 in
<br />Taley's Second Lincoln Highway Addition. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In both df the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared'',
<br />and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the
<br />premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to
<br />be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as
<br />reported by the City �gineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action
<br />on said imr-rovement resolutions, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed
<br />and approved without modification.
<br />In both of the above ;gamed improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders
<br />that on the 4th., day of June, 1929, this Board will, receive, openeand read sealed
<br />proposals for the construction of said improvements. The Board further orders that
<br />notices of said proposals shall be published on the 24th. , day of Yayr and on the 3TIst
<br />day of I.fay 1929, in the I out h Bend , News Times and Tribune according to law.
