<br />Bids having been received for the pavement of Chapin treet from the north line:
<br />of Ford Street to the north curb line of Prairie avenue under Improvement Resolution
<br />N0.2I92, the Board this - 30th. , day of April 1929, hereby makes a prelimimry order for
<br />sheet asphalt pavement heavy traffice pavement as the type of pavement with which said
<br />street shall be im-oroved and sets the 14th., day of 17ay, 1929, as the time when said
<br />Board shall either pass on petitions for a change in the type of pavement other than
<br />that specified in the preliminary order, award the contract or reject all bids.

<br />Avenue to a point 348 feet south of the south line of Plaasant Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.2194, the Board this 30th. , day of April 1929, hereby makes a preliminary
<br />order for concrete heavy traffic pavement as the type of pavement with which said street
<br />shall be improved and sets the 14th., day of May 1929, as the time when said Board shall,
<br />either pass on petitions fora change in the type of ravement other than that specified
<br />in the preliminary order, award the contract or reject all bids.
<br />Upon the recommendation of Wnq. F. Qualls, the Board an -proved the installation
<br />of a 4000 lum n light at the corner of Fremont street and Keller Street at a cost of
<br />$45.00 per year.
<br />Jpon the recommendation of 1,11M. F. walls, I - the Board apnroved the installation
<br />of a 4000 lumen light at the intersection of -4wood Avenue and O'Brien 6treet at a
<br />cost of 1,45.00 per year.
<br />This being the date set, hearings 1,,rere had on the following improvement resolu-i
<br />tions:
<br />Improvement esolution Wo.2208 for the grade', cubb and walk improvement on,
<br />Bulla 'treet from Portage Avenue to Fedora Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) ii

<br />t Resolution _TNo.2207 for the grade, curb and walk improvement on
<br />Anderson Avenue from 'King Street to Blulla 'street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared
<br />and no written remonstrances we-e filed and the Board, being fully advised in.the
<br />premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be
<br />assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported
<br />by the `;ity Engineer-. The Board, therefore, decides to tale final action on said
<br />improvement resolutions and declares sane in all things ratified, con'.irmed and approved!
<br />without modification.
<br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions No.2207 and 2208, the Board 1
<br />hereby orders that on the 14th., day of Yay 1929, this Board will receive, open and read
<br />sealed proposals for the construction of said improvement up to I0:00 A. 1. The Board
<br />ftrther orders that notices of said proposals shall be published in the south Bend News
<br />Times and Tribune on the 3rd., day of ITay and on the IOth., day of Yay, 1929, according
<br />to law.
