<br />Tuesday, -arril 9th., 1929.
<br />The Board'si�ri ed the contract with the Albert Construction Company for
<br />the pavement of Van Buren Street from Portage Avenue to Cushing Street under Improve--
<br />merit Resolution No.2I75 in the amount of 2,007.00. The Board also approved the
<br />u
<br />construction bond of same in the amont of 50 of the contract price signed by
<br />Inland 'Bonding 00.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I790 for the local sewer Improvement on Chalfant Street from Walsh
<br />Street to a r,oint IO feet east of the west line of Lot .150 in repla t of Park Place
<br />.2nd. , Addi'tion.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators appeared
<br />and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in, the premise
<br />finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to "be, assessed
<br />for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as submittdd by
<br />the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to ta'Ke final action on said improve
<br />went resolution and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved
<br />without modification,
<br />The Board now orders that on the 23rd. , day of A.�,ril 19.29, this Board
<br />will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said sewer under
<br />improvement resolution No.I7909 up- to I0:00 A. T,. The Board further orders that
<br />notices of said proposals shall be published on the IIth., day of April and on the
<br />I8th. , day of April I929, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />City Engineer, Ti. G.. /ray, filed plans', specifications and estimates
<br />and the Board adopted said plans and specifications to-gether with the following j
<br />improvement resolutions: i
<br />Improvement Resolution Fo.2208 for the grade, ,curb and wale on
<br />Bella Street from Portage Avenue to Fedora Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)!
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2207 for the grade, curb and walk on Anderson
<br />Street from ing Street too Bulla Street. ( See files for copy of resolutiln. )
<br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, the 73oard hereby
<br />orders that on the 30th., day of April I929, t'zis Board will meet in heir office in ;i,
<br />the City Hall at I0:00 A. 1%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose,{
<br />property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will.decide whether the
<br />benefits to the several _lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said impro
<br />vements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Etigineer.
<br />The Board further orders that notices of said hearings be published in the South Bend
<br />News Times and Tribune on the I2th., day of April and on the I9th. , day of April' 1929
<br />according to law and that notices be mailed to property' owners according to law. a

<br />City engineer, H. G. ",fray, filed plans and the Board adopted said plans
<br />together with the following Vacation Resolution:
<br />Vacation Resolution No.2209 for the vacation of _the .alle7 south of
<br />Altgeld Street from Clyde Street to the east line of Miami Heights Addition. (See Files
<br />for copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above. named vacation resolution, the Board hereby orders that on
<br />the 30th.-, day of April I929, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall
<br />at I0:00 Ab M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is
<br />is liable to be affected by such vacation. The Board further orders that notices of
<br />such hearing shall be published on the I2th. , day of April and on the I9th.9 day of
<br />April 1929 in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />The Board signed the following contract with the Indiana and Itichigan
<br />Electric Company for lighting Chapin, Miami, Angella, and College Streets as follows:

<br />party of the second part, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, pursuant .to a
