<br />Upon the �ecommendation-of Jm. F. 'walls, the Board approved the
<br />petition of the TreCaffery ompany for locating a flood light at the corner of St.
<br />Joseph and the
<br />Street, to flood the new filling station that is now under construct
<br />ion. This will enable us to discontinue a street light at this corner at a saving
<br />of $50,00 per year.
<br />Upon the recommendation -)f 101m. F. Qualls, the Board approved the
<br />installation of a I000 lumen light, bracket construction from over head service on
<br />a wooden ppole at the alley east 'of Hamden �;ourt between Oak Street and West LaSalle
<br />Avenue. €%ost to be $22.00 per year.
<br />Upon the recommendation' of Wm. R. Qualls and H. G. Wray-, the Board
<br />approved the petition of the Indiana and 14chigan Electric Company to install trans-
<br />former vaults at the north west, corner of Yonroe and l!ichigan "treet; between the
<br />curb and property line on Idest 4.�ashington Avenue at the end of FranMin Street; also
<br />to install ventilating grates in a transfer vault now located in 'front of the wool,w6rth
<br />Building, on Michigan Street, all as shown on drawings attached to said petition dated
<br />March Ilth. , 1929:
<br />The Board approved pay rolls in the amount of JIO,93I.26 and hereby
<br />orders City Controller to pay same.
<br />The Board approved z�ay roll for grade separation work in favor of
<br />H. G. �'�ray, City '' gineer and Hazel A. Turner, Clerk, in the amount of $433.33 and
<br />hereby orders the City Controller to pay same out of the Track Elevation fund.
<br />The Board approved claims in the amount of 451.21 for various depart-
<br />:vents.
<br />Upon the recommendation of City Attorney, I. S. Romig, the Board
<br />approved a claim in the amount of M58.47 to be paid out of Refunds, awards and
<br />indemnities, in the matter of the property belon=ling to -Adam 1. S. Hilbourn for the
<br />' Kline street widening and condemnation. This amount of 258.47 represents the amount
<br />of benefits assessed to this lot, plus the interest, and �72.00, which amount is the
<br />'i,difference between 250.00, ( the amount ordered by the 'court) and-178.00, (the amount.
<br />,' originally awarded him for d amages on the assessment roll.

<br />Whereas, Proceedings have heretofore been had by this Board with its
<br />Resolution Number 2108 for the construction of the so-called Bergan-Johnson Sub -Trunk S
<br />Sewer, in the City of 6outh Bend, Indiana; and
<br />Whereas, Contract has-been let and construction work has been started
<br />under said Resolution Number 2I08 as adopted July IOth., 1928 and later confirmed, and
<br />said worl� is now in process; and
<br />Whereas, It has come to the attention of this Board that said Resolu-
<br />.'tion and subsequent proceedings thereunder may have been defective in that the area or
<br />district to be beneficially affected by such sewer has nor been properly bounded and
<br />described; and
<br />Whereas, No objection has;' at any time, been made to the construction
<br />.of such sub trunk and the work of constructing the same is now in process.
<br />Now, Therefore, for the -purpose of correctly describing the boundary '
<br />line of the distret or area to be drained by said sub trunk and to be assessed therefor
<br />and for the -purpose of correcting or supplying any such defect in sadd Resolution No.
<br />2I08 and proceedings subsequent thereto, all in fonformity with the -provisions of
<br />Sections I0569 and II200 of Burns Revised Statutes of 1926; be it
<br />Resolved, That the following proceedings be had to supply and to
<br />,'correct any such defect as above set forth.
