<br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby. orders
<br />that on the 7th. , day of govember 1928, this Board will receive, open and read sealed
<br />;.proposals for the construction of said improvements up to 7=I5j P.7. The Board
<br />further orders that notices of -said proposals. shall be published on the 26th. , day of
<br />!Octob.er and on the 2nd. day of November T928, according to law.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement
<br />resolutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I42 for the local sewer improvement in Southwood
<br />Avenue from Harriett Street to Gr eenlawn avenue. ( See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I46 for the local sewer improvement in PtBrien
<br />Street from Werwinski Court to the first alley north -of Werwinski Ct. ; also, Werwinski
<br />Court from Johnson street to O'Brien Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I43 for the local sewer in Olive Street from
<br />Lincoln `day �Alest to Elwood Avenue. ( see files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared
<br />and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises
<br />finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed
<br />for said sewers will be equal to the estimated costs of said sewers and that these
<br />improvements are necessary. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said improvement
<br />resolutions No.2142, No.2I46 and No.2I43, and declares same in all things ratified,
<br />confirmed and approved without modification.
<br />In all of the above named improvement res oluti ons , the Board, hereby orders

<br />This being the dat* set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the grade,
<br />;curb and walk improvement on Orange Street from Birdsell Street to alley west of Birdsel
<br />,Stre6t under Improvement Resolution No.2OI8.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written
<br />;remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that
<br />,the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts named on said
<br />•assessment roll. The Board,therefore, takes final action on said assessment roll and
<br />declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and
<br />,the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the
<br />Department of Finance.
<br />City Magineer, H. G. 7&av, submitted the following partial estimates:
<br />Partial estimate No.2 for the light traffic sheer asphalt pavement on Napier
<br />Street from�lalnut Jtreet to the east curb lineof Cherry Street, in accordance with the
<br />,terms of the contract between the City and the Rieth Riley Construction Company, contract
<br />°ors under Improvement Resolution No.2044. the Board signed and a -proved same in the
<br />;amount of 12,999.0.7.
<br />Partial estimate No.2 for the h�,avy traffic sheet asphalt pavement on Victoria
<br />'Street from the east curb line of Miami treet to the east line of Miami Heights Addi-
<br />ti on, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and Rieth Riley
<br />Construction Company, contractors, under Improvement Resolution No.208a.. The Board
<br />signed and approved same in the amount of 7,512.47.
<br />Partial estimate No.I for the light traffic sheet asphalt pavement improvement
<br />on Jefferson Street from Walnut Street to Cherry Street, in accordance wit the terms of
<br />the contract between the City and Rieth Riley Construction company, contractors, under
<br />Improvement Resolution No.204I. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of
<br />I14,49I.74.
<br />The Board approved the redommendation of H. G. Wray to allow Rocco 0imeri
<br />install a house connection -at I7I4 South Scott Street at his price of 48.00.
<br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted said plans together
<br />with the following vacation Resolution:
<br />Vacation resolution No.2153.
<br />Resolved by the Board of Public iIorks of the City of South 'Bend, Indiana, that
<br />.,it is desired to vacate the following:
<br />Beginning at the southeast corner of Division Street abd Sheridan Avenue thence ii
<br />!east albhg the south line of Division Street I237 feet, thence north 20 feet, thence
<br />,rest 44 feet, thence southwest 85.37 feet to point of beginning.
<br />Also beginning at the intersection of the north Zinc of Division street and the
<br />,east line of Sheridan Avenge produced, thence east along the north line of Division Stree�
<br />111127 feet thence south 20 feet, thence west 44 feet thence northwest 85.37 feet to point
<br />of beginning.
