<br />improvement have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said roll. The

<br />Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 19th;
<br />day of October and on the 20th. day of October 1928, in the South Bend News limes
<br />and Tribune according to law.

<br />In the above named improvement Re' at
<br />Resolution No.Z14I, no remonstratorm appeed
<br />and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board,, being fully advised in the
<br />premises,, finds that the benefits to the several- lots and parcels of land `liable to
<br />to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same, as
<br />reported by the City Fmgineer. The Board, therefore,,. tares final action on said
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2141 and declares same in -all things ratified, confirmed
<br />and approved without modification. The Board now orders that on the 30th.' day

<br />October 1928, this Board will receive, open and read selaed proposals up to 10:00
<br />�• A. IT., for the construction of said improvement. The Board further orders that

<br />notices of said proposals shall be published on the 19th., day of October and on
<br />the 26th., day of October 1928, according to law.
<br />This being the date set, hearingwas had on the assessment roll for the i.
<br />vacation of the alley east of Michigan treet from the south line of Bronson Street
<br />to the south line - of N. Y. C. R. R., under Vacation Resolution No.2085.

<br />In the above named assessment toll, no remonstrators appeared and no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that
<br />have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said assessment roll, and the
<br />Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said primary assessment roll and
<br />declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and apPr otred without modification
<br />and- the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to
<br />the Department of Finance.
<br />This -being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll for
<br />the condemnation for opening alley south of Bronson Street from Michigan Street, to
<br />Ist., alley east of Michigan Street under Condemnation Resolution No.2086.

<br />awarded said Loughman estate. After hearing all persons interested in said assess-
<br />ment roll and being fully advised in the premises, the Board finds that said lots Li

<br />assessment roll and therefore, the Board decides to take final action on said assess-

<br />with a resolution for the Vacation of the alley between Lot 18 in Dinan's 2nd., Additiol
<br />and all -,of Lot 17th., in I)inan's 2nd., Addiion exceDt II feet off of the south side
<br />from Crescent Avenue to Public Court under VacationResolutionN0.2149.
<br />In the above named Vacation Resolution No.2149, the .Board orders that on the 11
<br />T3th. , day of November, 1928, this Board will meet in their office at 10:00 A. IT.,
<br />to hear and receive remonstrances from all nersons whose property may be affected by 1j
<br />such vacation. The Board further orders that notices of said vacation shall be publishli
<br />ed on the 19th. , day of October and on the 26tq. , day of October 1928, according -to
<br />law, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll for
<br />the pavement improvement in Lincoln Yanor and 4aley Is Lincoln Highway Addition under
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2092.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board after hearing all persons interested in said
<br />assessment roll, decides to continue hearing on said assessment until ,October 24th.,
<br />1928, at 7-15 P. Jr...
<br />The Boa-rd approved the -purchase of filing equipment for the Controller -Is
<br />office from the Book Shop at a cost of 198.00. Same ordered.
<br />Upon the recommendation of 71m. F. Qmaj]Ls, the Board approved the installation
<br />of six I000-lumen lamps at the cuossing of Division and Walnut Streets and the New
<br />Yor1c Central tracks at a cost of 132.00 per year. Same ordered.
<br />The Board approved tae following renewal certificates:

<br />Ben W. Mumaw, for Excavation Bond in the amount of 31.000.00,
<br />The Board approved the contr'aetors, bond for one permit for L,. A. Wieezorek
