The Board, therefore, decides to over rule said remonstrances and declares 11 <br />slid improvement resolutions in all things ratified, confirmed and aproved without j <br />modification. The Board hereby orders said remonstrances banded to ity Engineer <br />for a check on the resident property omi ers. <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders <br />that on the 7th. , day of August, 1929, this Board will receive, openg and consider <br />sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements up to I0:00 A. 11. The <br />Board furthhr orders that notices of said proposals shall be published in the South <br />• Bend News Times and Tribune on the 26th., day of July and on the 2nd. , day of August, i <br />1928, according to law. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on improvement resolution No.,2I05 <br />fpr the pavement of the f i^s t alley west of Cottage Grove Avenue from Lincoln W <br />west to Van Buren street. ay <br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared and a <br />written remonstrance was filed- The Board, after hearing all persons interested in <br />said improvement decides to take final action onsame and declares said resolution <br />null and void and all former proceedings had rescinded and the proceedings closed. <br />• <br />The Board s �Led the contract with C. E. Reesh for the subb-trunk sewer in <br />°good Avenue from Huey treet to Goodlawn Avenue under Improvement 1,1*esoiution No.2096, <br />in the amount of I4,386.70. The Board also approved the construction bond of same <br />for I00% of the contract price signed by the United States Guarantee company, <br />The Board signed the contract with "dillist on'Construe tion company for the <br />pavement of the north of Oakwood Blvd., from Portage Avenue to <br />Beverley Place under <br />Improvement Resolution No.2077 in the amount of Irp663.82. The Board also approved <br />the construction bond of same in the amount of 50% of the contract price signed by <br />Inland Bonding Company. <br />The Board signed the contract with `til, iston Constnuction Company for the pavement <br />of portions of Cherry, Arnold, Huron, r alnut, -Oivision, Harris, and cord Streets <br />in connection with Pra ck Elevation under Improvement Resolution No. 2I07, the amount <br />of the contract being 60,206.60. The Board also approved the construction bond of <br />.same signed by Inland Bonding Company for 50% of the contract price. <br />The Board signed the contract with Williston Construction Company for the sewerei <br />and pavement improvement on streets in Belleville Third Unit under Improvement Resalutiori <br />No.2I24$ in the amount of 69,IF.50. The Board also approved the construction bond of <br />same signed by Inland Bonding ompany for 50% of the contract price. <br />The Board a -proved the Guarantee bond of neith Miley Constrnet�'ompany <br />for the pavement of streets in `orris Park Addition under Imp�ion rovement esolution o. <br />1981, signed by Southern Surety Co. <br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of E. T. Tranberg for the-mvement of <br />the alley west of Sherman Avenue from Oak 'street to Lincoln '��ay "±est under Improvement <br />Resolution No.2015. signed by The Employers Liability Assurance Company. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Comdemnation jievolution 1io.2086 <br />for the comdemnation of the following described prorerty: <br />"'Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot.D?o.8 Bronsons ''urvey (which point <br />• is also in the west line of the Ist. , alley east of Michigan ''tre et) thence westerly <br />along the south line of said lot No.8 to the easterly line of 1.iichigan Street; thence <br />south along the sa-d easterly line of Yichigan street fourteen feet (I41), thence east <br />parallel to and fourteen feet (I4T) south of the south line of said Lot No.8 Bronsons <br />_i.rvey one hundred fifty six and forty six one hundredths feet (I56.46.1) , thence south <br />easterly to a point in the westerly line of the first alley east of I. ichigan '8treet <br />(which point is nineteen feet (19 T) south of the southea -t corner of Lot No.8 Bronsons <br />Surve*; thence north e--long the west line of said above mentioned alley nineteen feet, <br />(191) to the -al ace of beginning." <br />In the above named condemnation resolution, owner of Lot 8 appeared and <br />remonstrated against said condemnation and the Board, being fully advised in the premise <br />. decides to ta'�-e final action on said resolution and declares same in all things ratified <br />confirmed and approved as originally adptvted. <br />The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners afd- operty <br />and of valuable interests therein sought to be ta_cen or to be injuriously affected bar <br />.]said condemnation, said roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected by <br />such condemnati on.
