<br />Leeper Avenue to the east line Of Harter Heights Ad:dition.u_nder.Improvement Resolution,

<br />In the above named improveme - t resoluti on, the .Board hereby
<br />orderg that on the 27th., day df June, 1928, this Board will meet in their..office in
<br />the ity Hall at 7915 P. Y. , to hea and receive' remonstrances from all persons
<br />whose property may be affected by said improvement and will decide whther the
<br />henefiis to t'ae several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said impro
<br />vement will be equal to the estimate cost as rer..orted by the City Engineer. The
<br />Board furthhr orders that noti ces of sai d hea ring shall be publ ishe. . on the 8th. , day
<br />of June and on the 15th., day of June, 1928, in the South.BerANews 4imes and Tribune
<br />according to law, and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law.
<br />In the matter of the following named improvements the Board
<br />hereby orders that on the I2th. , day of June, 1928, this Board will receive, open and
<br />consider sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements. The Board further
<br />orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the Ist., day, of June.
<br />and on the 8th. , day of June, 1928, in the South Bend News Timis and Tribune according,
<br />to law;
<br />Pavement of Adams Street from Lincoln Way 'first to north line of
<br />HumbIldt Street under Improvement Resolution No.2027.
<br />Pavement on Johnson Street from south line of Vassar Avenue -
<br />running east from said Johnson Street to Elwood Avenue under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.2033.
<br />Pavement on Pulaski Street from Dunham Street to Sample Street
<br />under Improvement Res olut ion No.2059.
<br />City Engineer, H. T. Wray, submitted the following report on
<br />the petition filed by property ovmers on 30th. , Street under Improvement Resolution
<br />j No.20I3 for a change of type of pavement;
<br />"There are 37 resident property golders residing on this
<br />improvement, 29 of whom havesi gned the petition, expressing the preference for a
<br />a concrete pavement which is one of the t.vpes of modern city pavement included in
<br />the specifications and bid under this proceeding. This being a majority in number,
<br />I would, therefore, recommedn that a final order be issued for concrete pavement on
<br />this improvement. signed H. G. Tray, ity Engineer."
<br />Petition having been filed for a change of the type of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of 30th. , Street
<br />from l ishawaka hvenue to North Side Blvd., under Improvement Resolution No.20I3, and
<br />this petition being signed by a majority of resident property owners along said
<br />proposed improvement, the Board, this 29th., dayof May, I926, hereby makes a. final
<br />order for concrete pavement light traffic as the ty-pe of ravement with which said
<br />street shall be improved and awards the contract for said improvement to C. H. Eldred
<br />at his bid of 24,848.42 for concrete light traffic pavement.
<br />No petition having been filed for a change of type of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order for the zavement of Ewing Avenue
<br />from the west line of Leer Street to Ernesperger Street under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.20I6, the Board this 29th., day of Ms, I928, hereby makes a final order for winumt
<br />concrete pavement light traffic as the type of tavement with which said street shall
<br />be improved and awards the contract for same to Alex Bukrnvski at his low bid of
<br />32,851*00 for concrete light traffic pavement.
<br />No petition having been filed for a change of type of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Sample Street
<br />from a roint 308 feet west of the west line of Belleville 3rd. , Unit to the west
<br />line of the right of way of New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois R. R. under Improvement
<br />resolution No.2037, the Board this 29th. , day oP May, 1928, hereby makes a final order
<br />for concrete ravement light traffic as the type of tavement with which said street
<br />shall be improved and awards the contra et for said improvement to 17. J. Nees Co.,
<br />at their bid of 42,036.95 for concrete eight traffic pavement.
<br />No petition having been filed for a change in the type of pave-
<br />ment other than that specified in the preliminary order for the ^avement of 36th. ,
<br />Street from Mishawaka. Avenue to. North Side Blvd., under Improvement Resolution Nn.
<br />20I4, the Board this 29 th. , day of Yay, I928, hereby makes a final . order for sheet
<br />asphalt as the type of pavement with which said street shall be im1rowed and awards
<br />the contract for said improvement to Albert Cons t�-ueti on Co . , at thkIr bid of
<br />17,734.I0 for sheet asphalt heavy traffic pavement.
