<br />and no written remonstrance was filed. The Board finds, however, that. no: water
<br />mains have been laid along the line ' of said improvement and therefore, they decide
<br />to continue hearing on said resolution until May 2nd., 1928, to give the property
<br />owners a change to crake arrangements tivit h the water department for the mains.
<br />In the matter of Improvement Resolution No. 1965 for the pavement of the
<br />fig°st alley ea.-�t of Clinton �_'treet from Sample Otreet to the first alley north
<br />of Sample. Street, the Board, hereby decides to recind all former action,'..aken on
<br />said improvement resolution and declares same null and void and the proceedings
<br />closed.
<br />This being the date set, hearing vra.s had on the assessment roll for the grading
<br />of the alley south of Calvert Street from Chapin Street to Kendal 'street under
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I966.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises finds that
<br />the several lots and parcelsof land which have been assessed for said improvement have
<br />been benefited in the amounts named on sadd- assessment roll. The Board, -therefore,
<br />takes final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified,
<br />confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed.. the Board now orders said: assess-
<br />ment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.

<br />awards the contract for said improvement to Carl E. Zimmer at his low bid of 4,347.40.
<br />Bids having been received for the pave ent of the alley north of Cottage Grove

<br />tion No.I990, the Board this I8th., day of April, 1928, hereby makes a preliminary
<br />order for concrete as the type of pavement with which said alley shall be imrroved and
<br />sets the Ist. , day of May, -L928 .as. the time vrhen said Board shall either ra.ss on
<br />petitions for a change in the type of pavement other than that specified in the
<br />preliminary order, award the contract or reject all bids.
<br />Rids having been rec,lived for the pavement of Stanfield Street from the north (�
<br />line of Howard Street to the north line of St. Vincent Street under Improvement Resole-i1
<br />tion No.I995, the Board this I8th., day of April, 1928, hereby ma'�es a preliminary
<br />order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improv
<br />ved and sets the Ist. , day of May, I928, as the time when said Board shall either pass

<br />Board this 18th.; day of April. 1928, hereby rejects all bids for said improvement
<br />and declares said resolution No.2007 rescinded and all former action taken, on same I�
