56 <br />_ Wednesday, April I8th., 1928. <br />null and void and the procee(JAngs closed. <br />Yhe Board signed the contract with nston tall for the construction <br />of grade and walk- on the south side of Ewing Avenue from Hoke `'treet to '11rnsperger <br />Street under Improvement Resolution No. 1999, for 635.60. The Board also approved <br />the construction bond of same in the amount of T00� of the contract price, signed <br />by the Maryland Casualty Co, <br />The Board signed the contract with Eston Ball f or the construction <br />of grade and walk on the west side of Kaley ''treet from north curb line of Linden <br />Avenue to Ist., alley north of Linden avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2004, <br />for 165.15. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for 100% of <br />the contract price signed by the Maryland Casualty Uo. <br />The Board signed the contract with -'stop Ball for the construction of <br />grade, curb ank walk on the west side of Fellows Street from Fairview Avenue to <br />I ro Irvington <br />the construction under Improvement Resolution No.2003, for 3,85.I0. The Board also <br />Irvin ton Avenue un <br />,action bond of same for 100% of the contract price signed by the <br />Maryland Casualty Uo. <br />This being the date.set, continued hearing was had on the assessment <br />roll for the opening of Palmer Boulevard under Condemnation resolution No.I9I5. In the <br />above matter, the Board decides to continue hearing on same until May 16th. , 1928. <br />City Engineer H. G. Wray, submitted partial estimate No. I for the <br />sewer improvement in College street between Vassar -and Humbolt Street under Improve <br />meet Resolution No.2028, in accordance with the contract bejsween the City and John <br />F. Hipskind, contractor. Board signed and approved same in the amount of $907.47. <br />City Engineer, H. G 71ray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and <br />the Board adopted a resolution for t �e curb and naLk improvement on the north side of <br />IJishawa'_m Avenue from the west 1 ine of Tot 500 Vihitcomb and Keller's third Sunnymede <br />to a point 29 ' feet east of the west line of Lot 506 said Addition "der Improvement <br />Resolution No . 2053. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, property owners waived all <br />objeetiohs on and defense to any defect in said proce-dings and to any violation in <br />procedure for the construction of pavements as fixed by law. Said property owners <br />also petitioned that Ralph F. Keller be appoAnted to act as "hgineer on the above <br />improvement to act in co-operation with the Uity -41gineer. <br />Thereupon the Board received,opgnad and read sealed proposals for the <br />construction of said improvement as follows: <br />'vihi t co mb and Keller <br />concrete walk . I6 <br />concrete curb .45 <br />City Engineer, H. G. dray, filed plans, specifications and estimate <br />and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of the alley east of Clinton street <br />from sample Street to the first alley north of Sample Street under Improvement Resolu- <br />tion No.2054. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders <br />that on the I6th. , day of May, I928, this Board, at its office in the City Hall will <br />meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to <br />be affected by said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels <br />of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be benefited in proportion <br />to the estimated cost of same as reported bythe City Engineer. The Board further <br />orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 20th. , day of -4pril <br />and on the 27 th. , day of April 1928 in the News Times and mouth Bend !'ribune and that <br />property owners be notified according to law. <br />City 'Engineer, H. G. "ray, filed plans, specifications and the Board <br />adopted a resolution for the pavement of all alleys in Belleville -�;irst Unit under <br />Improvement Resolution No.2055, after more than 55 ! ofthe iovraiars of all lots had <br />petitioned the Board for the construction of a 7 inch concrete pavement on all alleys <br />in said addition, as provided for in chapter 236 of the Acts of the General Assembly <br />of the state of Indiana approved March IOth. , 1927. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders <br />that on the 2nd. , day of lla,y,I928, this Board will meet in their office in the City <br />Hall at 7-15 P. Y. , to hear and receive remonstrances from. all persons whose property <br />may be affected by said improvement.
