SMITHGROUPJJR <br />Services will include all phases of the projectincluding programming, design, concept development, schematic <br />design, di ndevolopmen&.00nstructiondooumonts,biddiHgawdoonetrucUoNadministratiom Construction cost <br />estimates for the building and related systems and facilities will also be apart ofthe architect's scope ofservices. <br />Design reviews, both internal to the architect, as well as quality reviews and compatibility checks will also be required <br />at each phase of the project, as timed within the overall project schedule, <br />In addition to the above, other EPOCH responsibilities include: <br />m Program development and validation and the development of the building footprint. <br />• Design — collaboratively with G0ithG[04pJJRand the CITY, for the building and the performance stage <br />structure eSapplicable. <br />• The preparation of a building architecture, interior design, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), security, <br />communications and structural basis of design. <br />w Documentation of sustainability goals for the buildings and the integration, of these goals in to the <br />architectural elements ofthe park. <br />• Weekly project b380meobngn,moatofwhichw|||beviaVVobEX. When coordination meetings with the City <br />or other stakeholders are required they will be in place of weekly team meetings. <br />w Documentation of meetings and discussions related to all building related elements of the project. <br />• Coordination with geotechnical engineering associated with the foundations and related issues of the <br />building specific to the design, management and control of both design load support and differential <br />settlement controi due to the differing conditions within the b0ding footprint. <br />The intent is that EPOCH is an integral part ofmcollaborative team. This strategy will ensure the design and <br />implementation cdbuildings and facilities meet the goals q@the CITY and its park, and that the technical needs and <br />basis oddesign requirements are established toensure along -life fac0|h/. <br />EPOCH will develop mdetailed Scope ofServices for the entire project emdmfme&zrSchgrmck|oDeeignnm|yandm <br />range offees for services beyond Schematic Design. <br />AbonmmrchmRole and RosnonsibU0os <br />Abonmarche will serve aSthe project surveyor, providing topographic, plsnimetrioand boundary survey <br />requirements, The main, responsibility will be to provide a detailed and complete survey of the project area boform <br />the basis ofthe design and implementation cfthe project, Ahonmowohehas served mnthe project murweyoronbeHa|f <br />of the City of South Bend and will continue in this role as a part of the implementation team. <br />DLZ will serve as the project Geotechnical.Traff icond Civil Engineer, As an integral member of the team, DLZ will <br />work with SmdhGmupJJRtoensure the coordination of projects between the S0ithGmupJJRTeam, Notre Dame <br />and its consultants, and the Wharf Partners development team, DLZwill also work with SmithGroupJJR&oensure <br />proper coordination and timing are achieved for all state and local permitting and approvals. <br />Specifically, DLZwiU lead the engineering efforts for all underground uNNhes, including routing, capacity assessment, <br />/ park and building demands and engineering documentation for underground storm, water, sanitary, electrical, <br />telecommunications, fiber optics, data and cable television, and natural gas. The proper distribution of all existing <br />underground and overhead utilities will also be the responsibility of DLZ, including the coordination with Notre Dame <br />City ofSouth Bend.
