<br />SmithGroupJJR Role andl Responsibilities
<br />Smi1thGroupJJR will be the prime consultant, responsible, for the overall design of the park and its elements. We will
<br />manage the subconsultants, lead the design, stakeholder coordination, will coordinate with IDNR and any other
<br />agencies, Wharf Partners, Notre Dame and its team, the City, County and State as required through the project
<br />design and approval process. Ali correspondence, decisions and directions will flow through us, and we will work
<br />directly with the CITY's Project Manager to ensure the schedule, budget, communication and coordination goals are
<br />met.
<br />Specifically, the role and responsibility of SmithGroupJJR will be as follows:
<br />• Overall project coordination and design leadership.
<br />• Urban design, including park elements, surface and streetscape design, promenades and program spaces.
<br />• Waterfront engineering, including technical design and engineering of promenades, portages, wails,
<br />overlooks, etc,
<br />• Landscape architecture, including special surfaces, plazas, plantings, irrigation design, furnishings, light
<br />fixture selection, screening and image areas.
<br />• Site engineering, including stormwatier management, green infrastructure and sustainabiIity elements,
<br />circulation and access/egress control,
<br />• Special lighting design, including landscape and image lighting. We will work with the River Lights Designer
<br />to, ensure proper placement and calibration of the River Lights installation.
<br />SmithGroupJJR will lead the design and engineer/document the following:
<br />• Riverfront Promenade
<br />• East Bank Promenade
<br />• Riverfront Trail Connection between Seitz and Howard' Park
<br />• Seitz Park Proper —except as modified and required of EPOCH and DLZ
<br />• Colfax Avenue Crossing — engineering by DLZ, streetscape improvements in concert with IRiverfront
<br />Promenade Plaza development
<br />• East Race Crossing Design — explore best option between upgrading existing crossing at dam or a new
<br />prefabricated bridge
<br />• AM General property reconstruction
<br />• Colfax Trail/Bridge connection between Seitz and West Bank Trail.
<br />EPOCH Architects Role and Responsibilities
<br />EPOCH will serve as the Architect of Record for the park buildings. They will provide design and documentation
<br />services for all building related architecture, including interior design, mechanical engineering including internal
<br />HVAC, equipment and all mechanical facilities to meet the needs of the building and utilities, interior lighting and
<br />electrical engineering including instrumentation, controls, security, specialty and security/task lighting,
<br />telecommunications, fiber optics, data, internet,, cable and all other needs to serve the building (inside and outside)
<br />and its function. Also included is, alll structural engineering for building superstructure and foundations, including
<br />coordination with the Notre Dame, Team to ensure building structural: requirements are met in both flume and site
<br />areas within the building footprint. Coordination with Notre Dame for any penetrations or other specialty elements to
<br />meet the needs of the building is also included.
