<br />The Board next recognized Richard Kabzinski, 249 N. Chicag Street and Edwa
<br />Stasiak, 253 N. Chicago Street. They appeared before the Board with reference to a re-
<br />quest f or the Board to investigate the Bendix noise. They were informed that action
<br />has already been taken on the matter.
<br />Next appearing before the Board was Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer,
<br />with reference to the installation of overhead flasher in the alley between City Hall
<br />Court and Polk. Permission was granted.
<br />Mr. Walter White, 418 N. Adams Street, appeared before the Board with ref-
<br />erence to the trash burning in his immediate residential area. Also, matter of soot
<br />from Drewrys. Matter was taken under advisement.

<br />The Clerk of the Board was directed to authorize Russell Kuehl to proceed
<br />With obtaining for the city the land north of the Toll Road and east of Riverside Drive
<br />(` adjacent to the river; this land to be purchased for the City will be reserved as space;;
<br />I: for the expansion of our Sewage Treatment facilities when such expansion will become ne-I3

<br />to the Board by the City Civil Engineer or his duly authorized representative on this
<br />23rd day of January, 1956, on the improvement known as the Beverly Place local sewer ex-
<br />tension as described in Improvement Resolution No. 2820, 1955, passed by the Board of
<br />Public Works & Safety on November 7, 1955, and confirmed by said Board on December 8,
<br />1955 be and the same is hereby adopted, and the Clerk of this Board is hereby request-
<br />ed to give notice of the hearing of Special Benefits on said Improvement, as required
<br />by Section No. 111 or 120 of an Act entitled,."An Act Concerning Municipal Corporation

<br />NOTICE OF HEARING SPECIAL BENEFITS ON SEWER IMPROVEMENT
<br />Notice is hereby given that the following Sewer Improvement has been com-
<br />pleted and the general character of the 1iprovement, the street, alley or public place
<br />on which it has been made, and the terminal points thereof, are as follows: Local com-
<br />bined sanitary and storm sewer in Beverly Place from a manhole at Lot #36 to Lathrop
<br />Street.
<br />There is on file in the office of the City Controller of the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana, an assessment roll with the names of the owners and description of prop-
<br />erty subject to be assessed with the amount of the prima facia assessment, and can be
<br />seen in the Office of the said City Controller.
<br />The Board of Public Works & Safety of said City, at the Office of the Board
<br />in said City, will on the 6th day of February, 1956, at 11:00 A.M. (CST) receive and heal
<br />remonstrances against the amounts assessed against their property respectively, on said
<br />roll and will determine the question as to whether such lots or tract of land have been
<br />or will be benefited by said improvement to the amounts named on said roll, or is great-
<br />er or less than that names on said or in any sum. At which place and time all owners of
<br />such real estate may attend in person or by representative and be heard. Board approved
