South Bend Central Development Area <br /> <br />(1) continued… <br /> <br />The former Shillings Camera Store property <br />was renovated in the last several years and <br />could be used for office or other commercial <br />uses, based on the zoning. Because the <br />parcel sits mid-block, is vacant and because <br />the seller is motivated to sell at this time, <br />staff would like to acquire it at this time. <br /> <br />The property owner will settle at the <br />appraised value, but has asked for relocation <br />assistance to remove several large items that <br />are stored in the building. Staff has worked <br />with the seller to agree on relocation costs of <br />$14,000.
